Openly gay GOP 2012 candidate Fred Karger was one such candidate, however, was there in Iowa to let the people know that he exists and needs to be heard in the debates as we approach the 2012 race. He returns to the show this afternoon to talk about his time in Iowa and what his plans are next in order to be included in the GOP race.

Guest / 4:30pm EST - At the end of last week, we told you about Indiana State Representative Phil Hinkle, who has been accused of soliciting prostitution from an 18-year-old Kameryn Gibson, who had posted an ad on Craigslist looking for a "sugga daddy." Gibson and his sister had turned the emails into the Indianapolis Star. Bil Browning, founder and editor of The Bilerico Project, returns to the program to discuss this scandal that Hinkle now faces -- and gives us some information about other right-wing, hypocritical Indiana politicians.

Guest / 3:3opm EST - On February 12, 2008, 15-year-old Larry King, a gay student at EO Green Junior High in Oxnard, California was shot twice by fellow student, 14-year-old Brandon McInerney. On July 5th, the case against McInerney began, in which he is being charged as an adult for murder motivated by hate. Zeke Barlow, reporter with the Ventura County Star, who has been covering this case before it began, joins us to talk about what has happened throughout and whether or not we will begin to see closing arguments next week.

Guest / 4:30pm EST - In the past few months, we've with some bi-national couples who'vr been able to fight the potential deportation of the spouse who is not a US citizen. Unfortunately, that is not the case for Bradford Wells, whose husband, Anthony Makk, an Australian, has until August 25 to leave the country. What are they doing as the deadline approaches and what happens to Bradford, a person with AIDS, should his husband and caretaker have to leave the country? They join us this afternoon to talk about it.

We'll get into all the details of the debt deal, not that the Senate has signed on, and look at who didn't vote for it in the House (Barney Frank and half of the black caucus) and what it means. A controversy over coverage ex-gays on NPR: Why are they reporting it's still "debatable" that someone can be converted to heterosexuality? Dolly Parton has apologized to a lesbian couple kept from Dollywood over a "Marriage is So Gay" t-shirt, but the couple says park officials canceled a meeting with them to work it out. We'll talk to the couple again. Also, I'll replay my interview with Ron Reagan Jr. about his father on a day when lots of people were invoking President Reagan over the debt ceiling issue.

- Last month, the National Coalition of Anti-Violence Programs released a report -- Hate Violence Against Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender, Queer and HIV-Affected Communitues in the United States in 2010. The report details nationwide statistics on hate crimes committed against the LGBT and HIV-postive community, which were high fiven recent public opinion polls that show growing acceptance of LGBT people. Sharon Stapel, executive director of the New York City Anti-Violence Project, joins us this afternoon to discuss the study.
