In 2003, Ms OBrien interviewed me along with the then Director of my adoption agency re my adopting two girls from Liberia. I already had two girls from China. Ms OBrien opined that weren’t they better off in their own countries, Liberia had been at war for several years. There was no electricity, fresh running water, transportation. TV, etc. Bullets we’re going thur my daughters rooms. They ate grass out of a creek. There were no toilets. How dumb could your comment be? My daughters now are a Doctor, in Medical sales, processing mail for the US PS, and delivering meal trays to children in our local childrens hospital. They live on their own. Support themselves. Contribute to our society and pay taxes. No Ms OBrien, they would not be better off in their home countries, if they had survived. Bless all who adopt.
