I'm just as excited about retaining our three Supreme Court Judges in Pennsylvania. It wasn't clearly theirs/ours, even as I stood at the polls giving our sample ballots. In our state, things have going south with Fetterman, McCormack, etc. We worked hard for this!

I don't know what happened to Fetterman but I assume it had to do with lots of money.

Couldn’t agree more that Americans needed this. The wins in New Jersey, Virginia, and especially New York didn’t just push back against the doom spiral. They revealed a coalition with real teeth.

But I also think we need to name something clearly: the most successful candidates didn’t win despite engaging boldly on social issues. They won because they connected those issues to material concerns. Mamdani didn’t separate affordability from anti-bigotry. He showed how economic justice and social dignity are inseparable in a city (and country) built by immigrants and exploited labor.

That kind of fused messaging is the future. The old centrist strategy of compartmentalizing, of trying to be economic populists on Monday and silent on injustice by Tuesday, has failed too many times. What Mamdani did wasn’t just defiant. It was deeply strategic. And it’s a template, not a one-off.

Let’s celebrate and study what actually worked. Because next time, the stakes will be even higher.

BTW Adam Frisch who you had on your show and ran for district 3 seat in Colorado and lost to Hurd recently sent out a big text say if he’s learned anything about running for office you have to be in the middle. Bullshit. That’s why he lost. This thinking has to go in the dust bin.

David Hogg made a good point when he said young voters are tired of being spoken at by men with Rolexes talking about affordability

thanks for the fabulous round-up, Mike. one thing I want to note for you and your readers is how "inside the Beltway" media almost unanimously reported—in the lead-up to this election—that the race between Spanberger and the crazy person was "tightening" and that Sears-Earle or Earle-Sears was "gaining ground." none of that was true. made me very cranky at the time... and might even do a Bluesky thread on that. I spend a lot of time in Virginia with business interests there and I'm just overjoyed by the Blue Surge.

It was a great night. The People are listening, paying attention to the reality that is happening in this country. Ketchup must be all over those ugly gold Walmart decorations in the WH. Now, we must keep up the momentum and win the Midterms next year. The goal is to put a stop to the lawless asshole in the WH. I’m looking forward to your show today. Let’s celebrate today!!!!

Thank heavens for a Big Blue Wave! Organizing, getting out the vote and proving the pundits wrong paid off! Main-stream media can suck it! There is so much more work to do but these victories will spur us on to huge wins in '26 and '28. Newsom and Mamdani showed us how to seize the moment and galvanize the electorate, let that be the way forward for the new Democratic Party. Thank you, Mike, for all you do to make days like today possible!!

I am celebrating our success on Prop 50. In many ways we deserve these extra seats (that we will need to work hard to win) since as a state we get 2 Senators, same as WY. At any rate, the GOP is coming for redistricting in Missouri, Ohio, Indiana and probably Florida. If you live in one of those states, please get involved. California pulled this whole thing together in 11 weeks! It can be done. And if you live in a Blue State, encourage your governor and legislature to do what California did, and pass an Election Rigging Response Act (Prop 50).

And of course this morning the GOP filed suit to stop Prop 50. Gee wonder why they didn’t do that with gerrymandering in Texas which was NOT pit to the voters! We can’t let this drag out in court, hope Newsom and Bonta are ready to pounce

Yes !! As headline JUST popped up “troops assembling for ground invasion in Mexico” WTF ??!!! Gut punch “are you effing kidding me ??!!!” MADMAN. We all need HOPE, that enough of us are pissed off enough to be out in big numbers for CHANGE. Talk about “Taking America BACK” !! Back to more like pre-DT but better. Mike mentioned the continual failures of corporate media, I’m happy to report as of today !!, is the one year mark I said F. them the night of 2024 election and I’ve not turned any of them on even once. I’m sick of their both sides-ing making giant leap comparisons where there actually is NO comparison and for allowing the normalizing of SO many things the 🍊 is doing that would’ve never been normalized prior him. WTF corp media !!! I’ve left them for being as worthwhile as a pile of dung alongside the road.

Last night was certainly a triumph. The results reflected the political feelings of the People. Mein Drumpf , of course, just implored his fascists friends to instigate more cheating. The President is cowering in his orange corner,he will react dangerously and together with Miller they will attempt to enact other illegal activities to sabotage the midterm elections. We, the People, need to shout even louder to pressure the fragile GOP to restore power back to Congress and to neutralize the president’s plan to retain power beyond the midterms. His actions from now on will not be to rescue the economy etc. but simply to enrich himself & his buddies and more importantly to him, to save his butt from jailed.

The message of Mamdani and AOC is the future of the Democratic Party. Schumer and Jeffries have to go. They don’t represent the progressive movement. AOC has to be house speaker. She has plenty of experience and she’s smart. That is the progressive energy we need and her message. These fuckn corporate democrats have to go. This is the only way forward. You and the Sirius progressives absolutely have to push this. I can’t be anymore forceful saying this. Don’t be swayed by pundits. This is the reality.
