A look back at 2025 on The Signorile Report
Some of the columns that reflected exactly what happened in the year of Trump’s rampage and the rise of the No Kings resistance.
As 2025 closes out, I wanted to highlight some of the pieces I wrote this year that captured what was going on, or focus on topics we should reflect on and not forget about. Sometimes these are the pieces that went viral in the moment, while others are pieces that, in retrospect, make even more sense when you read them now.
Looking forward to 2026!

Mike, that piece on the Minn. elected Representative & spouse assassinations right in their HOME SANCTUARY and the other attempted representative & spouse assassinations. Looking back it’s mind blowing the little attention paid to that by trad media and the general public on social media, etc. Compare that quiet response to the giant outcry and bills proposed to erect a Kirk statue in the US Capitol, posthumously award the Congressional Gold Medal highest honor available for a civilian and make a commemorative silver dollar coin in memoriam of the tragic end of C. Kirk. Why is the national concern level so extraordinarily wildly lopsided ???!! I suppose some lopsided due to state level figures vs. national level, but still !!! Then add in “what tone of overarching message, purpose, goals did each individual put out in public ?” and ponder/reflect on that inclusively.
Read an article today about ways to dump 2025. Throw a rock into a lake or the ocean. Purge closet and donate. Write 2025 on a piece of paper and bury it in a pot with seeds and soil, watch it compost and bloom. Etc. Taking some ideas to heart, this year absolutely needs to be purged. And, it is amazing looking back as Derrick says and seeing how MSM just sweeps everything away. Actually that was another tip, get your broom out and sweep the whole house out the door!
