People voted for trump and the republicans because they thought they were going to get something out of it... and they are getting something: fucked!

The majority of Americans who support Trump are either willfully ignorant, uneducated, insecure, racist, or selfish. And if/when Trump tanks this country, they'll be the last to accept accountability, just like their "President".

MAGA will NOT get any of the things Trump swore and promised:

No lower priced eggs or anything for that matter!

Way to go MAGA giving you freedom away to a FELON 🤦‍♀️

I will be wearing these kinds of t-shirts the next four years 👇

"Show a little empathy" what? Really?

Has this woman been living under a rock for the past 10 years?

Trump, accused of raping E. Jean Carroll, he said , take a look at her. You think I would want to rape her?

In the 2016 primary, Trump was running against Carly Fiorina, he said, "Look at that face. Would anyone vote for that?"

Empathy? Just another out of touch, not paying attention, dumb voter.

That's what Trump did to his own workers in his business.

Why do they think a second term president is going to care?

Mike,

Can you get someone on your show to explain the math behind not voting and how it directly relates to election loss and is not a harmless neutral stance as a "protest" with no real effect on the outcome. I see a lot of folks on social media who cannot quite grasp the idea voting against a malignant fascist is more important than ANYTHING ELSE and not voting hurts the people who actually go and vote. Americans treat voting like their vote is a window on their soul and must reflect only on themselves and fuck everybody else. In 2016 lots of people on social media refused believe the math and said, "not voting the lesser of 2 evils" so Trump won. Fucking idiots

The thing I am most concerned about is they cancelled the meeting of vaccine experts who were going to meet, as they do every year, to determine what strains to focus on for Fall flu shots. Are they going to ban vaccines? WTF? There are people like me who have to take immune suppressants and we NEED VACCINES! Am I going to be forced to have to fly to Canada or drive to Mexico to get my vaccines now? At a minimum going to my pharmacy next week to get another Covid booster which I need every six months. Thank God I had pneumonia, shingles, HepA/B, vaccines etc. already. This is so f$$ed up and I am so angry! Are they trying to kill us?

On one of the US morning shows I watch here in Canada, the local headlines across the Chryon was NH disbanding the vaccine association. Every since MAGA Kelly Ayotte became governor the states politics drifted more right. I am on the outside looking in but welcome any NH residents to comment. Vaccines is one of the right wings naughty words that set off a trigger, like woke, DEI, regulations, taxes, entitlements, gun control, etc......

The only thing that will save America:

1)massive failures by Trump and musk in their greed and arrogance.

or

2) division of this nation into blue and red countries.

I vote for number two. If we’ve waited so long so that only a massive failure by fascists is our ticket to democracy again, I don’t want anything to do with it. Millions and millions of MAGAts and non-voters have put us in this position, and any country that involves them is a country I don’t wanna be part of .

I’ve put up with living in Florida for 40 years, and I’m the last person to say abandon the nation. Unfortunately, the electorate remains the problem.

That's assuming they have brains. Not to be condescending, but didn't he show himself to be incompetent in 2016-20? As a medical professional, I am very worried. Another corona virus or worse may be right around the corner and he didn't do too well with the first one, 1 million dead. How many do you think this time with the South African and dogE running the show. They are taking away funding for a bird flu vaccine as well.

I saw a really compelling video of a woman calling out the idea that Trump supporters voted for him because they wanted cheaper eggs, etc. She said they voted for him so that others would suffer, plain and simple. And by "others" she meant people of color, women, LGBTQ people, poor people etc. Trump voters wanted anyone other than rich white straight men to suffer, and they are getting what they wanted. If they have to sacrifice their jobs, their healthcare, or their family members it's going to make them angry but they will still always vote Republican because they support the party of hate. It was a fierce video and I think things are more complex than that, but I also think she's right and we need to keep that hate-base always in the foreground.

CanadaIsNotForSale's avatar

I am a believer in that thinking. But at the same time are the 77 million people who voted for him that hateful? I would think not all - hopefully - but many are just sheep following the crowd and believing FOX (not) NEWS. One of the reasons they do not want to ban TikTok probably.

::the cowards running institutions that are obeying in advance and cutting medical care or ending classes, all based on Trump’s “DEI” executive orders, even though in many cases it’s quite a stretch and not even remotely necessary. ::

Honestly, I think they WANTED to "obey in advance"—or at least, the guys (and they're mostly guys) on top did. They never liked DEI or the ACA, and they're delighted that they can go back to being corrupt, entitled assholes now that President Musk and his senile puppet DonOld have given them cover.

As a former IRS agent i can attest that there were NO slackers in our small business division. Our group expectations were high. The case loads demanding & if you went to work for the govt with the idea of a cushy job you wouldn't have lasted long. Most of us worked 10 hour days & many weekends off the clock to keep up with the workload. As for fictitious employees;each employee entered their timekeeping which was reviewed by the group secretary & forwarded to the manager for approval. As any auditor knows setting up fictitious employees in order to generate fraudulent payments will only succeed if there are no controls in place. The IRS has layers of controls. As for prouction - both agents & officers (revenuers & collectors) generated vast amounts of government revenue well beyond compensation packages. Although 9 out of 10 times we issued assessments instead refunds our goal was an accurately prepared return it made no difference to us when the taxpayers examination resulted in over payment. We were just doing our job!

I appreciate your hard work. Marjorie Taylor Green told government workers to get a real job and I think Laura Ingraham said it also. My question is where is my refund from last year. It was under review and still haven’t heard. Not your fault. I know you all are slammed. I am just frustrated.

This is a good opportunity for Dems to run on taking back the House and Senate to stop Trumps agenda. And they should go all-in on universal healthcare.

A year from now when there will be no flu vaccines available and more planes crashing, Dems should start asking "Do you feel safe now?", "Are you better off now?"
