I actually wrote my masters thesis on this. I surveyed 1000 people about the main reason they moved to their current residence. It was based on an old hypothesis that people move to get the best tax "deal" - the best services for the lowest taxes. Turns out, most people move to be near work or family. Tax policies aren't enough to make most people move. I would imagine that would be even more true for people with enormous resources who don't actually pay anywhere near their on-paper tax rates
Cuomo and his ilk are so disgusting and racist. It's very sad that the Dems are playing this game - Mamdani WILL win and they'll just have to deal with it.
This is bs. Massachusetts passed a special tax on millionaires a few years ago. There was no mass exodus. And some have gone on record saying they don’t have a problem with the tax.
Seems that lies, use of AI , dubious gerrymandering, voter suppression and the usual conspiracies will be MAGATS go to agenda for all upcoming future elections, and given the naivety & ignorance of potential voters , the Democrats will have their work cut out to neutralize these GOP “weapons”. We, the People will need to step up en masse to support our Democrat representatives especially as the midterm elections approach and Drumpf’s ever more dangerous behavior. It is of crucial importance that we ensure that the midterms actually take place.
This is an older post but just had to chime in on the hypocrisy after listening to Cuomo and that LOON Bartoromo. When are they gonna mention the Trump is literally bowing down to Saudi Arabia and the Prince and letting them build a base on OUR land. I can't even take these hypocrites - the Casey Hunt & Jake Tapper nonsense already threw me over the edge.
Both extremes of wealth and poverty breed fear in our puny human hearts. It’s why a leader who centers on equity is the best leader. Why do we not all understand the obvious evidence before us?
