Friday thread: Bannon surrenders, and DOJ scathingly eviscerates Trump judge in appeal
Nice to see justice playing out the way it should.
Trump stooge and white supremacist-supporter Steve Bannon has surrendered in New York on the same charges — brought by the state — that Donald Trump pardoned him for regarding federal charges. Now Trump, or any president, can’t in the future pardon him for these crimes if he is convicted, as they are state crimes. And he could go to prison for as long as 15 years with a minimum of five years.
Meanwhile the Department of Justice has filed a blistering, humiliating appeal responding to the federal judge, who is also a Trump stooge, who halted the DOJ’s investigation of Trump’s stealing documents — about nuclear weapons secrets — in an unprecedented case of unconstitutional overreach, which I wrote about earlier in the week.
