We knew the overturning of Roe v. Wade was coming. But the details in today's decisions show how extreme this court truly is. And it's only the beginning.

Roe v. Wade is dead. A Constitutional right has been stripped for the first time by an authoritarian court constituted by an authoritarian president. A court acting against the vast majority of Americans.

Right now, immediately, millions of people have lost the right to an abortion in many states. The Christian nationalists will then move to ban abortion in states where it is legal. And the Supreme Court will rule in their favor eventually.

If they believe abortion is murder, after all, why would they leave it to the states, allowing blue states to continue to provide abortions? They won't. They will move to ban abortion in the blue states, everywhere, controlling people's bodies. A Christian nationalist dictatorship.

And then, they will move on to marriage equality. The Alito decision is identical to the Alito leaked draft. That laid out the blueprint for overturning marriage equality, contraception and much else. And Clarence Thomas wrote a concurring opinion today stating that the court should now “reconsider” decisions on contraception, same-sex marriage and sodomy bans.
