Happy Thanksgiving!
Amid the danger, the threats and the chaos there is a lot to be thankful for.

Let me first say the two National Guard members shot in Washington, DC, in a tragic act of violence should be with their families in West Virginia today, on Thanksgiving, as Mayor Muriel Bowser said, rather than lying in a hospital in critical condition.
They should not have been in Washington, DC, where they likely were serving the community by picking up trash but were surely not needed as law enforcement. That was on Donald Trump.
And beware the Trump administration trying to “blame” the shooting on Joe Biden, because the shooter is an Afghan national who’d been living in the country under a Biden administration program, Operation Allies, that allowed Afghan citizens who aided U.S. service members in Afghanistan to seek refuge in this country or face retaliation by the Taliban.
Not only does this attack by Trump grotesquely demonize all Afghan people living in this country—and we still don’t know the shooter’s motive—but it was Trump’s administration, his Department of Homeland Security, that approved the shooter’s refugee status and asylum claim April 2025, having been responsible for vetting him.
And of course, because of Republican policies, this individual was able to get a gun easily, and those soldiers were on the streets—where many troops and officials apparently were already worried about their safety—because of Trump.
I’m grateful today for all those independent journalists who pointed out these facts. And ,on Thanksgiving, I’m grateful for independent journalists, period.
I’m also grateful to No Kings and the movement that has grown because we all fought back. This year has been hellish and I know many were shell-shocked and horrified, unable to even move, but we’ve not gotten our footing.
I’m grateful that we organized and watched Democrats surge in electoral landslides and saw Republicans, MAGA and the Trump administration begin to fracture and crumble. Trump is quickly unraveling as his numbers tank, and the GOP is rebelling against him as the majority of Americans have overwhelmingly blamed Trump for the shutdown and the bad economy, and are outraged the Trump’s mass deportations.
The Jimmy Kimmel win, California’s unity in redistricting, the Epstein files, Marjorie Taylor Greene’s retirement and so much more show Trump is weak. Now we have to double down.
So on this Thanksgiving I’m grateful for all of that, and I’m also thankful to all of you and the listeners of my SiriusXM program. You all did the work in getting the word out and organizing people to march and to vote. And we surely all owe organizers much gratitude.
Happy Thanksgiving!

For 50 years the NRA and the gun industry have fed America on a diet of fear and that we need the 2nd Amendment as a guarantee against a repressive regime but now that we really have a repressive regime they suddenly change their tune. Armed citizens working on behalf of the dictator was never something they considered because the left was the always supposed to be the oppressors they needed to rebel against. Not saying its good they got shot but for the right to pretend how nonviolent they are all of a sudden is pretty sickening when they have been pushing for an armed revolt for decades.
Happy Thanksgiving to you and your husband and family!
There is so much to be grateful for in spite of the Sociopath in the WH.
We are celebrating T-Day with our daughter, her wife and our grandson.
They are doing all the cooking! It’s called passing the torch to the younger generation!
