This thread, again, is for you to jump in with your thoughts during the virtual convention, tonight or in the morning or afternoon on Wednesday during my SiriusXM show. How do you like the format? Is it holding up? I was impressed last night — yeah a few glitches, but mostly it was effective and felt good. The message was great, the videos often powerful and some good speeches. Especially Michelle Obama.

Tonight we’re seeing a keynote speech with 17 people — rather than one — and also Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (with 60 seconds), Bill Clinton, Jimmy Carter and others.

A new addition: Colin Powell.

What do you all think of the line up and the speeches/

There have been criticisms from progressives — myself included, though I like the format and the convention generally — that there are too many Republicans and not enough progressives. And Julian Castro and some Latino activists are saying there are not enough Latino voices. I asked Congressman Mark Pocan of Wisconsin, co-chair of the Progressive Caucus in the House about the criticisms today on my SiriusXM show.

I also spoke with Congressman Eric Swalwell of California about the DNC and also about his thoughts on the dysfunctional Congress and how we move forward.

I interviewed @RepSwalwell today, who talked about #DNC2020 and how to change the workings of Congress, unite people and “clean up government” if Trump is defeated. @ericswalwell @SXMProgress @SIRIUSXM siriusxm.us/SignorileDNC

Let me know your thoughts on tonight’s speeches, and I’ll be jumping in tonight and in the morning — and want to hear from you too.

I loved the keynote with the 17 young leaders, including state Rep. Sam Park of GA, who I interviewed on the show today.

I've loving the virtual roll call! Seeing all the people from all the states. All the beauty of the country. I'm a sucker for it!
