Thank you, Michelangelo, for pointing out more hypocrisies than even I knew about the alleged family man who lived in Barbie’s Dream House.

"But he couldn’t care less about helping his own people under attack."

Nope. Being rich trumps being gay. "Let them eat cake."

Bessent is a Vichy Gay--and possibly the highest-ranked in US government. He's serving a president, and contributing to a government, that's dedicated to destroying our interests. I'm very sure there's a "but without him there, it would be so much worse!" contingent, but I don't see it. He needs to be among the first on the wall: hiding in plain sight, doing damage every day.

I knew Scott back when he was working with George Soros, and I felt he’s working for Soros as opportunist, not because he shared his values brilliant article. Thank you

ALL this information should have been widely exposed months ago by all of us! I detest when gay or lesbian people TURN ON us and have NO shame in doing dangerous harm to the LGBTQ community. He is a despicable puppet in this disgusting cabinet of lap dogs!

Outstanding piece. What an unconscionable monster. Hannah Arendt sums up best the type of amoral person he is with “ the banality” of evil. Mr me me milk toast has a lot of blood in his hands.

As he

works for an administration that at whatever cost is determined to erase the LGBTQ community. Vile and sadistic

Michelangelo, wow, again you have enlightened me. I wondered why Lawrence O'Donnell mentioned his husband; now I know it was to clue us in to his hypocrisy. This makes it all the more great karma that the congressman who reduced him to a bumbling fool about who pays for tariffs was Wisconsin's Marc Pocan!!!! You go Marc! Yay! ( a wonderful gay man) Yet another constituency, along with immigrants, whom I have a lot of loved ones who are members! Good lord, such karma.

Thanks Michael, for more background on this Bessent character. I would say this to the Secretary: If McCain had won in 2008, you wouldn’t have the federal rights for married gay couples (Windsor 2013), or the nationwide marriage equality (Obergefell 2015) that you marvel at…because he would not have appointed Obama’s Justices Kagin and Sotomayor. It will be interesting to see how he reacts when SCOTUS takes up the case that could overturn marriage equality.

Scott Bessent, Walmart is my biggest customer. They didn’t eat Trumps first tariff of 18% in 2017. Tariffs are passed to the Customer for a Tax break for the Rich. You are a despicable lying Trump loyalist

We used to call these emotionally bankrupt gay men assimilationists. Now I would slogan Bessent the Betrayer. What a contemptible excuse for a human being and gay man.

Lots of justifiable anger being expressed here, but as Captain Kirk said to Khan in Star Trek 2: "like a poor marksman, you keep missing the target".

Scott Bessent doesn't give two shits about the rest of the LGBT community. He's made his millions and bought his acceptance into the upper echelons of the ultra-wealthy. A common trope of sci-fi movies is a dystopian future in which powerful live in a well-protected enclave while the rest of society suffers. Scott Bessent is living that life in the here and now. He probably sincerely believes that the access he has purchased with his millions provides him with an aura of untouchability. Little does he know (and as history has shown time after time after time), that on a whim, Dementia Donnie or MiniMe Vance will throw him under the nearest bus if the need is great enough. Everything with Trumpty-Dumpty is transactional, and I would like nothing more than to have the Orange Mousse-olini send Bessent packing, in a particularly humiliating way.
