Why is the US legal system SO slow ? 2022 Germany monitored a radical right group for a number of months then pounced and arrested 25 ? for planning, organizing a coup attempt. The ATTEMPT stage, no actual physical action yet in comparison to J6. Now, after partial release of Epstein files, other nations are taking actions and I understand some high up “officials” named in those files have already stepped down and it is likely investigations are commencing. We (in power currently) do nothing but try and dismiss and cover up. I remain unforgiving the snail pace of MERRICK ! At MITCH for not easily whipping Senate votes to convict after J6. Go back in time to COMEY director of FBI for not “just the facts, ma’am” but OPINIONATING about HRC a week or two before the 2016 election. Summer of 2016 Comey also opinionated on some HRC investigation (emails ?) while remaining MUTE on DT and Russia collusion investigation (10 YO memory, 80% sure, too lazy to dig deeper). I hope some of those folk have enough conscious left (I doubt Mitch) that they never get a restful night’s sleep. US is SO slow to act in face of corruption, cheating, stealing, lying. Look at the Supreme Court. I forget details but wasn’t there something scandalous on Thomas (a very wealthy guy gifted him expensive vacations when the wealthy fella had interests in S. Court rulings and his business ??) and didn’t Kavenaugh step into perjury zone during confirmation hearings ? And the many women’s harassment allegations investigation was plain shut down, “nothing to see here”. I guess I’m less naive now on likely loooong term corruption of our government. Power and money really does have a way of corrupting even folk who start out with best intentions as well as those leading long term corrupt lives. Sigh.
