You have been warning about this for a long time. I’m sick with fear and concern but have agreed with you all along that dark days were coming with this court. Right after Roe, this court will go after LGBTQ equality. How is it possible that we can go back towards such draconian times? Where is the collective humanity?

As soon as Congress gets past the BBB bill, and then Voting Rights, Biden has to be pushed into considering adding more judges to the Supreme Court, to dilute what the conniving of McConnell and the Donald brought us.

I hope that happens, but his commission on court reform is split on the issue, mired in disagreement. Pathetic.

They are doing it and people don't seem to believe it. Sadly it won't be real for many until it happens.

It’s crazy to me that we just don’t have enough steam to roll over this impending fascism. We have to sit here and watch it happen bit by bit.

I think most people are too busy to get into the weeds about our political situation. Most couples are both working, raising kids, taking care of home and vehicles, and trying to take in a little news every night. Some people think the news is now so negative that they just don't listen any more. But the decline of union jobs has meant long hours and lower pay for so many people in America. How does a, say, Uber driver, who's driving 9 hours a day, 6 days a week, and then tries to have time with 1-2 kids, get a chance to see news and really form opinions? This is how the corporate state takes over.

After the Supremes trash women's reproductive rights, I fully expect them to go after LGBTQ next. After that minorities are fair game. We're on the road to an authoritarian government, and this is just the beginning. Please get involved....we must do all we can to get out the vote in 2022 in Democratic areas and try to save Democracy while we still have a chance.

I'm disgusted with these people. The only thing damaging marriage is divorce, and I don't see them racing to make that illegal.

I listen to the show while working in an office, so I can't call in. I am on a break and wish so much I could have called in to tell you this story. I have a friend who's stepdaughter was pregnant last year, and at seven months had to have an abortion because the baby became unviable. I don't know what exactly happened to the baby, but the doctor had to remove the baby from the mother ASAP or the mother would have died.

This was obviously a wanted pregnancy, and of course they were devastated, but she had another child, and there was absolutely no question about not going forward with the abortion to save her life. Our circle of friends talked about this and we ALL were so grateful that we live in Washington state.

Thank you for telling this story. There are so many like it. These are terrible and deeply thought out decisions that must be left to people and their doctors.

The pro-lifers are a terrible confluence of evangelicals, Catholics, Mormons, and misogynistic legislators who want to kill off one of the pillars of women's equality - namely, the right to determine what happens to our own bodies.

Mike, I think that most of the conservatives on the Supreme Court are Catholics, aren't they? Alito, Thomas, Kavanaugh, Roberts, Gorsuch, Barrett, and Roberts are, I think. So an anti-abortion ruling will also be a big win for the U.S. Bishop's conference.

Very dangerous indeed, listening to these people flop around twisting their answers to what they think others want to hear is no better than what Esmeralda (Susan Collins) said about Roe during Kavanaugh's hearings. These people and their ungodly (pun intended) alliance with Cheetolini which got them on the court are merely playing at telling the American people where they stand on setting out the separation of church and state. They are backpedaling and setting up this country for revolution. Freedom in their words is only the freedom that a vengeful God would be interested in. I lost all faith in the Supreme Court after Bush v Gore and I think that Roberts is twisting in the wind trying to save an institution that has lost support from a majority of American citizens.

ON MIKE'S 2021 TURKEYS & ANGELS: We all know who the Democratic Turkeys are, don't we? Joe Manchine and Kyrsten Sinema, with Sinema doing the most betraying of her Democratic base that worked to get her into office in Arizona. The Republican Turkeys are too many to choose just one, so Mike will have to find special Turkey awards for them - the spineless Kevin McCarthy;; the batshit crazy Marjorie Taylor Greene, Lauren Boeberd, Matt Gaetz, Paul Gosar, and Matthew Cawthorn; the Senator Sleaze, Ted Cruze, and so many others.

For Angels of the Year, I'd vote for first, Nancy Pelosi, for being successful in whipping the House Dems to get a lot of bills passed, and (2) The Squad, for having to constantly sponsor bills and work in committees, all while fending off horrible sexist, racist, and anti-Muslim attacks on them. These young women deserve so much better for being the groundbreakers they are.

I would personally nominate Governor Jay Inslee of Wash State as an Angel. Inslee has been on top of our responses to the Covid epidemic, helping to open up mass testing, and then mass injection sites throughout the state; like the President, he periodically gives news conferences to speak on the State's battle and its statistics. Under him, Washington has had clear, direct information on our lockdowns, staying safe, etc. King County is one of the leading counties in the U.S. for total vacccinations. There are lighted signs on our freeways urging us to "Vax up, Washington!" We were one of the first states to have a lockdown instigated last spring.

Thanks for your consideration, Michelangelo!

Joe Manchine and Kyrsten Sinema are Repukelicans in Dems clothing. If the remainder of the Democratic Party does not get in lock-step with Biden, and Biden doesn’t have the balls to increase the size of SCOTUS and put some liberal judges in place, the United States that we know will cease to exist. Period. I’m scared to death.

I think we have a lot better chance, Emmie, if the Voting Rights bills pass, and gerrymandering is banned again. And there are multiple lawsuits against gerrymandering going on across the country. But yes, we need to do something about Scotus, or many of the progressive changes in the last 30 years will be destroyed. I think there are many frightened progressives, Emmie, so you're not alone. The prospect of looking something like 1935 Germany in our politics is a very concerning one.

Perhaps Michelangelo could consider another category “The Repugnant Republican “ award….with some many contenders it would be a difficult category to award, listeners would have fun debating who they vote as the “Repugnant Republican of the Year”.

Sotomayor was so on top of it when she stated that "she didn't know if the Supreme Court as an institution would survive the stench" if it ignored 48 years of pro-abortion precedents and overturned Roe. One thing is certain - if the Court strikes down Roe, it will definitely invigorate American women to come out and participate and vote in the 2022 elections!

Don't blame me, I voted for the email lady, and she warned us all back in 2016. But too many of "us" thought we were being paranoid about whether these clowns were going to overturn Roe.

The shot across the bough was the gutting of Section 5 of the voting rights act....
