Susan Collin’s and Murkowski are strategically able to vote with Dems by the Repubs only as long as they have enough votes to pass the thing without them. They often must decide, like who’s up for reelection, who should vote that way.
The press aids this woman by falling in love with anybody they can define as moderate or the holy grail of network news the great bipartisan savior of America. Just look at Sinema, Manchin and Fetterman all basking in the glow of MSM approval. Whenever bipartisan ship is mentioned only the Dems are expected to compromise and given that the Dems need MSM approval and believe reporters are their friends they often do. I have to wonder how much capitulation by traditional Democrats isn't fueled by trying to appease the press. My theory is the Dems have embraced the teachings of Jesus about welcoming everybody, forgiving GOP trespasses and so much blind faith in America and Americans everything will be fine eventually. A huge mistake is believing in people who won't suffer under Trump will still care enough about those who will. Well healed pundits are especially prone to this. Look at Van Jones, Joe Rogan and Bill Maher if you want an opinion from the privileged and the lovers of their own success. Never forget people who can afford private school for their kids will risk having to put their kids in a public school based on a principle.
