A recording from The Signorile Report and Lincoln Square's live video with Michelangelo Signorile and Joe Sudbay on redistricting, the stakes moving forward, and what Democrats need to do.
Too bad we proved how ignorant we were to protest vote vote Hillary and the only thing I can say is people had way too much faith that we would quickly overcome whatever ignorant voting brings us. Looks like 2024 showed us this same kind of blind faith in America. "How bad can it be" gets a new answer every day.
Your caller obsessed with genocide in Gaza as a good reason to let the GOP win is exactly the kind of single issue that costs us the majority when every other issues is less important to them like health care, abortion, mistreating trans folks, gutting the Voting Rights Act etc. as secondary. That is selective compassion and I'm sure gives people the feeling of high mindedness when in reality is just undercuts things that keep us and democracy alive. Voting should be deliberative and with the best outcome possible as the goal not as a tool of expressing emotional issues of moral perfection to the detriment of the country in general. I wonder if we have what it takes to do what Hungary did making getting rid of the dictator as the primary reason to vote when emotions and single issue voting seem to be the norm in the US and the right exploits those emotions for getting their people to vote and suppressing the votes of liberals and independents all at the same time.
Trust and believe, the "Heritage Foundation" and affiliated wackos want to take us all the way back to the 1850s. We must RESIST.
It's hard to believe that an unelected organization has as power as they do.
