A hearing to satisfy Trump’s desire for retribution against perceived enemies is the last thing voters want Congress focused on weeks before an election dominated by economic pain.

I remember watching Nixon and his minions fall from grace, a few ended up doing time in prison. I cannot wait to watch this republican cult come tumbling down. I saw one exchange where a Republican senator repeatedly asked Smith if he had gone after phone toll records of any Democrats. Smith replied several times that he only subpoenaed the toll records for people who called the president or had been called by the president regardless of political affiliation. Unsurprisingly the president, who considers Democrats the enemy, did not talk with any on the particular day. Yet that Senator thought he had a zinger that proved the prosecution was partisan. Republicans are evidentially not running for office on their intelligence, sadly.
Jack Smith is awesome! He did not take the fifth and handled himself with such dignity in the face of these MAGA morons like Schmitt and Kennedy. When Klobuchar called Schmitt out, he did not apologize. That's what MAGA does, like their dear cult leader. Grassley needs to go, too.
Schmitt went on a MAGA news show after the hearing still claiming that Smith committed perjury. Even if Jack Smith had been in Atlanta on the day in question to see an NBA game, it doesn't mean he met with Fani Willis or anyone from her staff. Atlanta is a big city. BTW there is video of Jack Smith at the women's college game in Maryland.
