A client of mine suggested that we should refer to this "administration" as the Trump regime. Calling it an "administration" legitimizes it in the minds of many people but rebranding it on Progressive media as a regime makes it more clear as to what it actually is. We can also refer to it as a racketer influenced corrupt organization.

Yes, it's a regime, a criminal empire. The whole world thinks he's an embarrassment.

WHY would any head of FCC and POTUS care what any show’s RATINGS are ? We all know that is something that organically takes care of itself, if too low, people in charge of programming will cancel and try something new. Duh. A world full of severe, life threatening problems and some show’s RATINGS requires POTUS intervention ??? Ukraine, Gaza, climate heating up more every year are not more important things to be focused on than ratings ? (I know, I know, this admin no matter what doesn’t give a rat’s ass about global heating, dammit). Good for millions of people combining and shutting down their subscriptions including many who live in other nations outraged by an attack on freedom of speech. Together we can make a difference. “Yes we can !!” Figuratively must punch that naar (clown like) bully right on the nose. If not pushed back and hard, Mike is right, they just keep coming back to take more from us.

Pushback against the free speech for me and no one else fascists seems to have worked for now. The combination of cancelled subscriptions $loss and boycott threats made the corporate oligarchs listen. Excellent and congratulations to all on the swift and unequivocal outrage. Carr is a bully like the other incompetent sadists in the current regime. Spewing lies and misinformation. Well TACO again. Let’s refocus on the Epstein files. Obama had to prove is American citizenship. Diaper Don should prove he’s not a pedophile

Michelangelo, you are so spot on . It is so important to emphasize the power of “We,the People”. Writing letters, writing messages, phone calls, boycotts and donations to protest the policies and decisions that are detrimental to our future. Corporations who have allowed themselves to be susceptible to the MAGAT’S fascist ideology are more susceptible to the power of the people when they articulate their disgust publicly & affect their bottom line. Our representatives on either side of the political aisle are very sensitive(& fragile) to voters en masse showing their anger in a non violent way. Be aware, be proactive and react.

Now we have to go after Sinclair. They own our CBS and FOX station and right before Corbert was fired, and the show was about to begin one night, you just saw "Corbert is a POS" go across the screen! I almost fell out of my chair.

thank you so much for the clarity that you added to this confusing situation. the way you explained the chain of events was not only factual but you remind the people that what they do and how they respond can create big change or douse the bluster of these maga leaders. they all did a great job at Kirks memorial convincing America that they are psychopaths, self-centered mentally diseased and have no respect for the life of Charlie Kirk or the solemnity of a memorial. they have responded disgracefully on so many levels since the moment he was killed. they tried to declare democratic leaders and targeted opponents of trump as criminals and terrorists etc. you know all about it. i just wanted to say thank you again for the work you do and the effective communicator that you have been for years. all my best,

Nexstar and Sinclair own most of the ABC affiliates and have stated that they will not carry Jimmy Kimmel, sinclair said it would if Kimmel aplogized to the widow of Kirk.

Nextar owns 132 out of 210 affiliates, Sinclair owns 40 ABC affiliates, in essence they are blacking out Jimmy Kimmel. In my area ABC is carried by TEGNA and Nexstar is in the process of acquiring TEGNA

Our only hope now is putting pressure on and boycotting Nexstar and Sinclair affiliates, lots of luck with that.

Just a correction: nexstar owns only 32 abc affiliates. Sinclair has fewer. 80% of America will get to see the show. And we'll see how long those two hold out as they hope for mergers. The public will speak in those markets.

It is not over. Sinclair that owns numerous stations and is very right-wing has said they aren’t going to put Kimmel back on. We need to rally people in each city they have stations and flood them with calls and demonstrate at their stations demanding Kimmel’s return. Google Sinclair and see if they have a TV station in your region.

Sinclair only cares about their bottom line. Kowtowing to Carr & Trump is going to hurt them in the long run.

Also include Nexstar stations, they have now decided to keep Kimmel off.

Here’s what I got from Xfinity’s virtual assistant:

If your local Sinclair station is not airing Jimmy Kimmel, you can explore other options available through Xfinity. You can watch shows on networks like ABC, which may have the episode available on their website or app. Additionally, you can check out streaming options on platforms like Hulu, where episodes of Jimmy Kimmel Live! are often available shortly after airing. You can also access various entertainment and news channels through the Xfinity Stream app or portal for more viewing choices.

My local Sinclair station in Virginia is not broadcasting Kimmel tonight. I tried to call the station to “comment on programming” and was disconnected three times. I’m going to check with Xfinity to see if I have another option to watch.

DId you get rid of Hulu? They usually have his show because they put a lot of ABC shows on there.

Re: Kimmel is back. The White House was probably the Red House yesterday from catsup, fast food sliding down walls and broken plates piling up. I guess catsup color coordinates nicely with those blood red Christmas trees back in 2020. Snark.
