I may have mentioned this before in some comments, but I live in a senior community. My husband and I are at the lower end of the age bracket for residents - we’re in our 70s - but we can see this dementia path in people we have come to know as friends. As Dr. Gartner observes, the dementia decline starts out rather slow and then the individual reaches a certain point where it speeds up and gets almost exponentially worse. Often the individuals are self-aware and get super angry when they can’t grasp an idea or put together a coherent sentence. It’s this observation of others that causes me to predict that DJT will be unable to make it to November. I’m sure all of his enablers and family are trying mightily to keep him on track, but it will soon be obvious to everyone the guy is a walking train wreck.

This was a great interview. Of course confirming our suspicions. Unfortunately we are preaching to the choir. All of Trumps deficiencies are adding up while all the while the right wing is in denial. I can absolutely see at this point there is no changing of minds on the right. They will have to accept their fate in November.

DT’s mental decline needs to be pushed out there on a constant basis… daily!. I follow

Bid🇺🇸n /Harris on social media such as Instagram and Threads. On IG their digital team are quite amazing and I commend them in the comments that they are doing a magnificent job and I do get blow back with nasty comments. The best reply is no reply. I report as bullying and harassment and then block. You cannot have a mindful intelligent, exchange of words with those people.

My friends here in DC keep sending me messages that they’re scared. I don’t do scared! What I do is direct them to your show. I told him if they don’t already have SiriusXM radio get it and listen to Michelangelo on progressive.

Like I said, I don’t do scared and nervous. I’m angry. So… let the trolls troll 🧌.

We will prevail.

Dr.Gartner would be an expert witness for Trump’s defense , he has basically diagnosed Trump failing mental health… and possibly allowing for a “diminished responsibility” argument .

Mental health professionals, along with others, have a duty to inform. Voters need the clearest picture of an individual they can get, not just views, but all aspects of their health. Who better than professionals to give an honest assessment?

If he is diagnosed with dementia, and that is a big if , do you think he will no longer be a candidate or use it as an excuse to be found not guilty by reason of mental decline? He is such a narcissist that I believe he will refuse to be seen by medical for a diagnosis. He will just carry on and have his loyal minions do the work !

I agree with much of what each of you have said about Mr. Trump even though I am not a medical doctor but a "mere legal doctor; i.e. I have a "Juris Doctor" degree and by tradition, we are not called "Doctor". But how do I agree with what you all say? By both observation of DJT and by experience with various dementias.

My Mom had either Early Onset fronto-temporal dementia with aphasia in speaking and writing--gorgeous handwriting to almost the end , but writing "Martian" in that gorgeous handwriting. She also seemed to concurrently have vascular dementia and/ or Pick's Disease.

My step-Mom: Lewy Body dementia.

My Dad: Alcoholic dementia,

My Husband: Vascular dementia.

All had been exceptionally heavy smokers for decades, but all did quit.

(My husband also had largely uncontrolled BP -- until I became his caregiver--because he hated taking pills. He & my Mom had many small strokes.)

None could have held positions of responsibility after their respective dementias advanced. All were accomplished people even though two did not have college degrees.

Even if I did not believe or know in my bones and by observation and listening and analyzing that Trump is a hateful racist and fascist / wanna be authoritarian strongman / dictator by inclination and temperament, a conman, incompetent executive, liar, cheater and thief, I'd be terrified to have a President with an observable advancing dementia. He also confabulates and that's also not great even when one is not evil and not an evil-doer.

But I disagree that he mixed up "Nancy Pelosi" and "Nicky Haley" because of dementia. He knew exactly what he was saying and repeating by design to "condition" people a la "Pavlov's dogs" to think that Haley was as hateful and to be hated as Nancy Pelosi is to them. (It has been my experience that people with dementias do not lose all of their faculties and abilities evenly and all at one time and sometimes their abilities might wax and wane. DJT, the master "Brander", was merely "branding" Haley.)

Dr Gartner did an excellent job of explaining Trump’s decline. Unfortunately most people don’t recognize his behavior as signs of progressive dementia.

Trump is a heathen at best. Trash when he was in the womb due to when he came out he fell into a garbage bin came out smelling like a pig and that smell is covered up with Walmart perfume!

The problem is that his cultists/voters are equally deranged, so they can’t really see an issue. He thinks and acts just like them.

Most of his adamant followers are in the same state.
