Gus Walz was so excited and proud of his dad. The Walz family may not be wealthy by republicon billionaire standards, but they are far MORE rich bc they truly adore each other. Btw Republicons have already started mocking the Walz family, in particular son Gus, whose jubilance was so honest and heartwarming. It shows the cruelty of the maga party.

Hey Mike lucky you to be there! Having some late nights though, they really need to get Harris on at a more reasonable hour tonight. For us on the West Coast Nbd but my poor friend in NY is groaning! I have not one complaint other than that. Every night has been joy, party, music, celebration, community and commitment. She could not have made a better choice than Coach Walz, America’s Dad. His son Gus is neurodivergent and was a joy to watch. I love hearing people say, and I will use this going forward with others, why did the GOP let MAGA take over their party. Kick him out! Clinton is someone I could always listen to, he is a gifted speaker. I remember Larry King saying no politician he ever met was able to crystallize an issue better than him, def the Explainer in Chief. But for my money Michelle won the week. That was a perfect speech. Do Something! This has been so wonderful and so inspiring. I think Walz is going to bring in a lot of would be GOP voters who are just sick of all the Darkness as Pete put it. I fervently hope she finds a spot for Pete going forward, he’s too young and talented to fade away. I was a supporter when he was running in 2020. I'm glad that the DNC is showing the horrors of Project 2025. Work has been getting in the way of watching it live. Not to mention that I've been watching the unabridged version on the DNC YouTube channel.
It’s long overdue for Dems to reframe some very important issues. The GOP has always been great at messaging, but I think, especially thanks to Kamala and Tim, the Dems are FINALLY getting it. On both abortion and freedom, the GOP for decades had the most salient message. We’ve finally turned to redefining pro-life as ALL lives and abortion care as healthcare. We’ve redefined patriotism and freedom as loving this country and all citizens, not bathing yourself in ridiculous clothing. We keep this up and we can win for many years to come.

It was revealed today that Ronnie Cameron - owner of the Mountaire Chicken Company in Arkansas - has been making significant contributions to a group seeking to keep abortions illegal in the state.
On the Mountaire website they mention that they are the largest private-label (i.e. store brand) supplier in the Northeast and MidAtlantic. Something to keep in mind when you're spending your hard-earned dollars at the grocery store.
For folks in Massachusetts and Connecticut, I'm pretty sure the supermarket chain I like to call "Big Why" (as in: why would you ever shop there?) obtains at least some of their store-brand chicken from Mountaire.
If anyone can let us know if the store-brand chickens from other supermarkets in these regions (Shaw's, Stop & Shop, Price Chopper, Giant, Market Basket, etc.) are sourced from Mountaire, it would be helpful.

I was surprised and delighted to see the very funny and accomplished Mindy Kaling as a host at last night's session. It was also such a wonderful nod to VP Harris' south Asian heritage. It made me wonder whether there is a strong, yet unrecognized well of support for Harris in that community that will be a small, but secret weapon. One wonders as well, what must Mrs. Vance, such an accomplished women in her own right, think of all of this? I will admit that I have thought there may be a Melania Trump effect on their marriage - win or lose.
