If people have any brains, they'll see prices rising and our alliances all dead (except for Putin, Kim Jong Un, and Orban). Hope Congress wakes up and some Repukes join Dems and take back control of tariffs which is their job.

I won't say he's down for the count, but we've got to hope he doesn't try and stop elections by claiming wartime powers, like he has done with immigration. Just wait til there is no one to pick the fruits and vegetables coming in and prices will go sky high.

Another solid one—thank you, Michaelangelo! Honestly, I would've lost my mind a long time ago without you and our Progress channel crew, both hosts and listeners.

All I keep circling back to is this: we knew it was only a matter of time before Trump and his twisted troupe of turncoats started dragging the economy down and making everyday Americans miserable and broke. This time around, he won’t have COVID to deflect from his complete ineptitude—which, let’s not forget, he handled horrifically.

Now he’s pushing tariffs again, like some desperate man in cognitive freefall, trying to convince the world this bluff is real. But no one’s even calling him to negotiate. There are zero trade partners on the other end of that line. It’s a con. Classic Trump. He’s made an entire career out of gaslighting, manipulating, and pandering to the MAGA base. Right out of the Trump Grifter Playbook.

And what’s heartbreaking is that the rest of us have to watch the country suffer while he treats the U.S. like some ego-driven experiment. How much longer do we have to watch this go on? Just because he refuses to follow the law doesn’t mean he’s above being forcibly removed—especially if impeachment becomes viable. If we can regain more control, I truly hope the Dems go after not just him, but his entire corrupt administration.

Meanwhile, here in SWFL, we’ve got conservative boomers and Gen Xers saying things like, “Just wait a few more months—it’ll all turn around.” Sure. While the country continues to slide backward.

We’ve got to keep shining a spotlight on the failures—his words, his actions—all of it. Nonstop.

They sure do and sadly exactly HALF (or so we're told) are too stupid to get that. Super sad, but maybe now they will? And if not, we need to start impeaching and forcibly remove if plausible. God willing.

Agree Nella. Watching this play out has been torture, and our country has turned the world upside down with his actions. The Progress channel including Michelangelo and every other host, has been a lifesaver.

They should increase taxes on booze and cigs in numerous states - crank up the tobacco tax 75% and call it a tariff.

The people who need punishing will be punished.

Maybe they’ll even quit smoking and quit drunk driving.

My concern is where this is all going. I'm hearing now that on April 20, Trump will invoke the Insurrection Act, which is akin to martial law. If he does that, it's all over. No more elections, so any support he loses is non consequential to him remaining in power and doing horrible things.

So the question is will he do it? At this point, we have to be prepared that he will. I don't think we have any choice.

I can't help but wonder if we can honestly account for American voters allowing this to happen and a take a hard look as our own failure as a democracy unflinchingly and not dump all the blame on political parties when in the end, we always have a choice for the best outcome even with imperfect candidates. Rationality in voting is not something Americans will ever achieve when our approach to voting is like choosing a religion that most likely represents our personal morality. The founders created a religion even if they were deists and not Christians

Yes it IS a bizarre cult!
