What a great “pull yourself up by the boot straps self-made man” story! Here’s a man that built his business from scratch (with his dad’s millions), successfully ran his businesses into the ground financially, was unfaithful to his multiple wives, colluded with the Russians, was twice impeached, weakened our NATO alliance, was civilly convicted of sexual assault (ie rape), stole classified government top secret government docs, lead an armed insurrection attempting stay in power despite losing the election, and now is a convicted felon. The best part! He wants to be president again! What a great country we live to allow someone like Trump two opportunities to destroy our democracy and ruin America! A person can’t do that just any where- only in the good ‘ol US of A!

PS God help us all if Trump gets elected again.

I was surprised, but really happy with the full conviction! I also found myself being greatly relieved that finally, he didn’t get away with something. And based on the high quality of both the judge’s work and the demeanor and presentation of the jury, I am certain it was not “rigged.”

But I was surprised because I thought the whole system would find some way to produce a hung jury or only very few points of conviction. I had begun to lose faith and confidence in our system. This just outcome has helped me begin to recover from the effects of the mega-gaslighting that are going on from both Trump and the Republican Party and that is coming at us all.

This morning I realized that I had fallen prey to some of that gaslighting. Not that I would ever have voted for that man or that party, never again, but that I began to doubt my own perception of things, which is gaslighting. I actually feel Joe Biden should win a Nobel Prize for his leadership and human decency, except for one thing…his response to Israel’s war crimes against the Palestinians in Gaza. But there’s still time. Biden’s got to “break some rules” and shut down the supply of bombs, and maybe other weapons, to Israel.

So many thanks to Michelangelo and other SiriusXm Progressive Channel presenters for emphasizing, over and over, the good Joe Biden is doing, and the lies and deception coming from everywhere in the Republican Party.

History lesson: Beginning with Iran Contra through to Bush's Katrina response on its way to Trumpanzee as America's response to Obama. Republicans have contorted the laws for the continued white supremacy still in existence which inevitably finally made their deity pay for the feeblest of a litany of crimes. Battered lady justice couldn't even raise her arm off the gurney on her way to surgery in which survival is not a given. We citizens can't even celebrate a small victory because the 4th estate can't bring itself to extricate itself from the corporate overlord's desire to see a horserace where there should be none. The system 240+ years away is essentially on life support because the powers that be cannot allow a multiracial society to be. Shouting from the rooftops will only work if it is accompanied by a donation...

I think that for those of us rejoicing today, it is because finally a powerful person was held to account for crimes. People can sit there all day and say its a witch hunt, but that's fine because this cannot be undone and there was nothing done here that was unethical. He was indicted based on a grand jury, he was convicted based on a jury of his peers. His lawyer's helped pick the jurors, so they cannot complain. He could have taken the stand, but he didn't. He wasn't denied anything. I truly believe this will impact the election. I do not believe it will matter to MAGA, but I do believe the quiet voter, who do not follow politics will not vote for him. I believe a lot of anti-MAGA GOPer's will not vote for him. Will they vote for Joe Biden, who knows? But I really believe that if people believe in a person's character, they will not want a convicted felon running. The thing that really irks me is that people continue to say he is not guilty and people can't accept the fact that he is guilty and has been found guilty and he has done wrong.

I surprised myself when I was not happy with the guilty verdict. I felt relieved that he cannot shake off this 34 guilty verdicts, but not surprised or jubilant. It is quite sad that a past POTUS is such a corrupt person, a rapist and he was allowed to lie and cheat with the help of FOX news and mainstream media for more than a decade. I am deeply saddened by the dumbing down of our country. Can we recover?

We must continue to fight for democracy. Trump's cult is ready to take down this country, and he knows it. Remember when he said he could murder someone and get away with it? The man is downright evil and so are his cult members.

I'm glad the orange dumpster fire has been convicted and everyone else should be celebrating. But I'm not going to celebrate wildly until that prick is wearing a matching jumpsuit in handcuffs while boarding the prison van.

I expect these convictions mean that Trump will be unable to. break the 40% threshold in the popular vote, as the suburban moms and young people and non-white people end their flirtation with his 2024 candidacy.

He's a felon, folks--how do you explain that to your children?

This was the end of the Trump campaign, but we need to do our best to pound the result into MAGA heads everywhere: "How can you support a man convicted of 24 felonies, rigged trial or not?" The lower we can make his numbers--and the election numbers of all his GOP/MAGA enablers--the better we will do at ending our long national nightmare.

You make good points and hopefully the “how do you explain it to your children?” Gets asked constantly.

For me, the news broke through from you as I was listening to the show. When your announced it, I was driving my side gig Uber and I almost lost it had to focus on the road and then I had to pull over . I wanted to call so bad but then I got a request. This kid was busy making bank 💵 but I relish my happiness through all of your other callers and yes, I did scream and yelled “fuckin’ yes!!!!” 💥. Then I picked up a couple from Sweden. They asked me if the verdict came in yet. I said yes, not knowing which side of the aisle they were on and they were so happy.

We have to be even stronger out and push this to the edge and make Joe win with numbers that cannot be disputed because we will prevail!

If President Biden and the Democratic Party truly wish to save America from the fascism of #TraitorTrump and his minions, they need to call the RepubliKKKlan Party what they are: Domestic Terrorists who have tried to subvert free and fair elections, the rule of law, and the role of the judicial and legislative branches of government. Then they need to be arrested and thrown into prison with their inglorious leader, the sooner the better.

One thing the prognosticators were correct about is Trump’s conviction changed nothing. It becomes more evident every day the deep seated cancer and poison in our society. That still people are energized by this spectacle and give undying support to this horrific person. My hope for a correction is diminishing daily. The media is still 24/7 on Trump. On MS this morning they gave a whole list of billionaires in this country that were supporting him. This makes me sick to my stomach. I believe this will be our future. Yesterday’s ruling was a blip for justice. Great but insignificant in the overall picture.

I do not think he should continue to run for President. If he does, I trust his lies, attacks on our systems, and his unevolved maniacal need for power and revenge will turn many more voters against him. Maybe GOP in Washington is outrageously rooting for him, but I believe millions and millions more American citizens DO NOT WANT TRUMP FOR PRESIDENT.

The court bent over backwards for Trump. He ignored the gag orders and threatened the judge. The court even changed a few jurors he didn't like.

He didn't need to take the stand. The MAGA's , Fox and Lindsey Graham did that for him.

He got what he deserved - period. My question is ... you can't vote as a felon but you can run for President? Wow. If that doesn't demostrate corruption, I don't know what does.

It also demonstrates a two-tier justice system. Normally someone with low-income convicted for even lesser crimes would be locked up immediately. The MSM doesn't help when they make it look as if the orange prick is an infallible holy figure. The same goes with how they deify the supreme court as well. What really pissed me of was when these MAGA reps on the news were comparing Trump to Eugene Debs.
