Trump says kids go to school, "come home with an operation"
Stammering, claiming kids are forced into gender-affirming surgery, Trump is clearly mentally unwell. When will media laser focus on his decline, and the real possibility of President JD Vance?
Donald Trump spoke at the summit of the extremist group Moms for Liberty late last week in Washington. For a deep dive on how The New York Times grotesquely softened this vicious group—and the fact that one of its chapters had promoted a quote from Hitler—read Parker Malloy at The Present Age.
One thing I want to pull out, however, is the unhinged—insane—claim by Trump at the event about “this transgender thing,” in which he actually states that “your kid goes to school” and “comes home a few days later with an operation.” Yes, schools are forcing gender-transition surgery on kids—which is happening nowhere!
There’s not even anything close to this that you can say he was confusing or distorting. This was simply the mind of a man in severe cognitive decline attacking those who support trans rights with an outlandish claim and not having the mental capacity to realize that even his most ardent supporters would know this is a bizarre and embarrassing fabrication.

This is worse than his claims that Democrats are killing babies after they’re born, because that vicious lie—which he knows he’s telling—is recklessly spun out of the reality of late-term abortions, which are exceedingly rare and always due to a congenital abnormality or a threat to the life of the mother.
No, this is based on nothing in reality or close to reality—schools do not have hospitals, nor are they shipping kids to hospitals within the school day, anywhere!—and everyone in that room of extremists knows it.
Watch the video clip in which he spins this craziness as he stumbles over words:
But uh the transgender thing is an incredible thing… your kid goes to school & comes home a few days later with an operation the school decides what’s going to happen with your child & you many of these childs 15 years later say “what the hell happened who did this to me?”
Note that he says many of these “childs” rather than “children.”
Who says that? A man with increasing cognitive decline, as mental health professionals have pointed out, including Dr. John Gartner, a prominent psychologist I spoke with a few months back. Gartner contributed to the bestselling book, “The Dangerous Case of Donald Trump: 27 Psychiatrists and Mental Health Experts Assess a President.” He began a Change.org petition earlier in the year that has now been signed by hundreds of mental health professionals.
Much of the media has ignored Trump’s comments about kids being sent home from school having had major surgery—even those, like the New York Times, that covered the Moms for Liberty summit and reported on Trump speaking about transgender issues, and attacking Kamala Harris on it. How do you report on his discussion of trans issues without this kooky whopper?
It’s mind-boggling and and it seems like the media giving Trump cover.
Jamelle Bouie, the astute Times opinion columnist, took note of Trump’s comments in a video he posted on social media. Here’s what he had to say after he played a clip of Trump’s specific comments regarding kids, schools and surgery:
This is deranged, right? This is completely deranged. It has no relationship to reality whatsoever. It’s a fantasy. And I watched about 20 minutes of the entire thing. And my takeaway is that this—there’s a big story here. And the big story here is that in even the most relaxed environment possible, Trump is addled. He’s unable to not just speak truthfully about a topic, but speak coherently about any topic, even softball topics.
Trump hasn’t just deteriorated, he’s clearly cognitively impaired. And it is bizarre to me that this isn’t just a major story. My understanding for most of this year is that whether someone could actually do the job of president was the major issue. It’s why Biden was the subject of so much scrutiny.
But now that Biden is no longer in the race it’s not like an area of concern for anyone, even though you can just watch Trump clearly. And he’s declined precipitously from 2020…The big story of this Moms for Liberty event, which should be a real focus, is that Trump is just not there and there’s no forum in which he’s capable of speaking cogently in any sense about anything.
When Bouie says it should be a real story, one assumes he means for the political editors on the news side of his own paper, as well as everywhere else in the media.
And on that, I completely agree, and, as you all know, have noted that for a long time. Corporate media, for over a year, focused on President Biden’s age and the issue of mental decline. But now they’ve dropped the issue entirely when it comes to Trump, the oldest guy in the race.
More than that, as Trump’s running mate JD Vance has been under the spotlight after making many horrible, misogynistic, and just plain weird comments, and whose views are even more extreme than Trump’s stated views, particularly on the issue of abortion, Trump’s continued decline should be the top of the news.
Vance would be a heartbeat from the presidency if Trump were elected, while the presidential candidate himself is declining by the minute, and we’re two months away from the election. How is that not a story? I wrote back in March about how, looking at Biden and Trump and their physical and mental health, it was clear which one might become incapacitated—or die—in office, and that for that reason we should be focused on Trump’s possible running mate.
And here we are six months later and that running mate is JD Vance, caught having made vile comments and promoting far-right extremism, while Trump is faltering by the day. As Bouie says, there’s a story here, and it’s long past time for corporate media to focus on it and make sure voters understand the stakes.
The more desperate the maggots get, the more ridiculous the dialogue. No child goes to school and returns a different gender. On another note, I sincerely believe that there will be an assault on voting locations and the maggots will stop at nothing to interfere with the ENTIRE election process. Check you registration status and if you see something, say something!
The scariest thing about this ticket is that while Cadet Bonespurs has (right now) certain opinions, they can change. If the Christian Far Right suddenly supported pro-choice bales, Donny Fuckface’s views would change. Vance (whatever the hell is name is now) is VERY much project 2025. He’s not entirely out for his own sake and power. Vance is a true believer. This combined with Herr Pumpkinfuhrers age is terrifying. Personally, I 💯 % want Harris. After that Walz. But I would rank Donny Dickhead slightly higher than I HATE WOMEN WITH CATS man. God help us. This election is the must important in our nearly 250 years and is defining of us as a country. I’m American and a proud Bills fan (yes, a glutton for punishment, yada, yada, yada), but I live in an EU country now (Sweden) and I’m not sure I can adequately describe the panic and fear here. MAGA may be saying America first, but we are past that. It’s a global world. And how we choose in November affects not only 343 million people in the USA, but up to 8.2 billion people. My Swedish husband (and Swedish family and friends) have discussed the coming election and how they feel. Imagine knowing that you are a citizen of an EU country VERY dependent upon elections in certain countries and having no voice. I’m not advocating that one person should rule the world. But we should understand that there is a ripple effect when we vote. And, sadly, the America first ideas often are the worst. We are dependent upon each other and our choices and votes need to reflect that.
