Hey, Rob! The word you're looking for isn't "embarrassed."
You should be ashamed. Humiliated. Repentant. Contrite. "Embarrassed" is for when you farted in public. This is much worse: your vote may have helped to destroy America.
Only the most culty of the MAGA cult are strongly behind him. That can't be more than 15% of the population. Another 15% probably have mixed emotion - but the nation can't stand him right now as a whole!
I'm seeing a lot of Trumpers say that they now regret voting for him because under Joe Biden they actually gained a good amount and now it's gone and then some. Dems need to be able to run ads with Trumpers saying, “I made a mistake and I’ve learned my lesson.”
Some of them are finally waking up to reality!
I think it will be safe to wear this "Don't blame me, I voted for her" shirt on boardwalk this summer 👇
Sadly that’s what we have to hope for. With all the fascism, we have to hope that they get damaged enough economically to turn on him. The fascism they seem ok with
He's upset because his 401K is tanking and less concerned about the rest of us and the world. I have no sympathy for those who should have known better and let their selfish motivations ruin our democratic republic and made us a laughingstock on the world stage.
I don't know which is worse trump supporters that have "washed their hands of trump" and remain loyal to the party or those that continue blindly believing everything the Republican Party tells them.
I think the meeting with Wal-Mart, Target and Home Depot stopped the tariffs, at least for now.
The Fed squashed his idea to fire Powell when they all threatened to resign. He was also informed how much the value of the dollar could crash.
So, now he is left with blocking social issues he doesn't like, but courts are stepping in.
Through all of this, Congress has been quiet. It's as if they knew all along he wasn't going to get away with everything and this way they can keep their MAGA voters from turning on them.
But he can't hide the drop in 401k's. Everyone knows the truth when it comes to personal money.
I am the Rob from New Hampshire Michaelangelo is referring to. The following is what I commented in response to another comment but this is where I stand:
Actually the issues you bring up are those I am loudest about. The 401k thing was merely an example of things Trump said would happen if a democrat won but HE is the one guilty of his own accusations.
The idea of "too little too late" is understandable. But remember there are upcoming midterms and in less than 4 years there is going to be another presidential election.
I am embarrassed for being wrong about Trump and I will continue to be vocal against him and everybody should be more adamant as if we don't fight maga together, whether it's someone like me or a life long democrat, it will be another maga republican who replaces him.
My absolute reason for turning on him and the whole maga idea is far more profound than my 401k. That was a highlight.
Trump exploited the families of victims of violent crimes committed by "illegals" with ties to MS13, violent felony histories, cartel ties, human traffickers, drug smugglers. That is what he sold so many people on. Instead he gave ICE permission to enter homes without warrants. FASCISM! Then, instead of violent criminals he is deporting children who are American citizens. He is deporting women and students who are virtually defenseless and just want a better life. He deported a child with freaking cancer! He IS a fascist and he is a coward. And I didn't see it. I saw it from a completely different angle and was wrong. Trump and his whole cabinet are fascist pigs and I don't care what you think of me but I will stand against him and anything maga.
In addition:
I will be at every anti-maga protest near me. I was at the state house in Concord today along with my wife, friend and oldest son. I have already received plenty of hate but now that I see Trump for the fascist nazi he is, I don't care about hate from anybody who supports him after what he has done to Abrego Garcia, to innocent children and all of the people he is literally kidnapping.
The 401k is an example of promises made and broken along with so many other things. But law or now law, what he has done is beyond a lack of humanity. It is a literal attack on humanity. And I have to stand against that. I can't just not support him. I have to be loudly against him.
I am ashamed to have supported him and embarrassed to have been so wrong.
Plus, keep in mind Rob, that China OWNS a large amount of our debt. They have zero reason to capitulate to Orange Hitler. We need them as much as they need us to keep world markets going.
I am a 73 y/o white, life long Democrat. It would be very hard for me to not vote Democrat in any election. I think Rob is being incincere. There is no way I would vote for a Sanders/AOC ticket. The lesson has been given and must be learned. How many times are Democrats going to put forth candidates running on progressive issues that the vast majority of the voting populace does not either agree with or care about. I believe a true middle of the road Democrat who runs on fixing the really big problems and issues in America has a much better chance of winning almost any election. We have real issues with the economy, immigration, foreign affairs, neutralizing our foes, and strengthning our alliances across the globe, and many others. The big issues with the majority of voters is not LBGQ, Trans, gay marriage, gendered sports, or nearly any of the other progressive issues. These things are just not top on their list and when they hear candidates primarily pushing these issues, they just tune out. I wish it wasn't the case, but the harsh reality in America today, no matter what you may want, is that the Democrats need to start now grooming a 40 something, white, straight male. He needs to be able to be supportive of many of the progressive issues in an understanding, aggreeable way, but not in your face when asked. He needs to be able to tie that support to a benefit for everyone else as the focus for his support.
Regarding the Sanders/AOC, are people seriously that Dense? First of all, Bernie will be Fucking Eighty Eight Years Old in 2028, he is Too Gotdamn Old to run this time and could die during the primaries. Second of all, AOC is a Firebrat from the Bronx, she’s too fringe to appeal to the Electorate.
Beto O’Rourke and Tim Walz, I see either as Winnable Candidates. And we need to let Kamala Harris back in the Oval Office as VP.
Rob doesn't care about the terrible things happening that hurt other humans. Rob only cares that something hurts his pocketbook. Rob is not a good person.
Actually the issues you bring up are those I am loudest about. The 401k thing was merely an example of things Trump said would happen if a democrat won but HE is the one guilty of his own accusations.

If Harris had crashed the market like this in her first 100 days and you called into a conservative talk show to express remorse. They would let you have it and good. You would be blamed for their 401K investment losses and shown no mercy. They would tell to never forget it, what you helped cause.

Better late than never to finally after 10 years see the LIGHT on Trump!!!

What's this? They weren't embarrassed by voting for the howling racist, adjudicated rapist with 34 felony counts? And only NOW they're embarrassed?
Sadly that’s what we have to hope for. With all the fascism, we have to hope that they get damaged enough economically to turn on him. The fascism they seem ok with

Exactly, and its not like he and they weren't warned!
It’s only when it directly affects them that they open their eyes to his lies and the fact that he is unqualified for the job. 🤯🙈🙉🙊
This response is aka FAFO!
Just imagine if Harris was in the White House and crashed the market like Trump just did!
I don't know which is worse trump supporters that have "washed their hands of trump" and remain loyal to the party or those that continue blindly believing everything the Republican Party tells them.
I really liked this call. He was clear and calm. Not the usual Maga

Too little too late, though.
Am I the only person that is thinking “You asked for it, you got it.”
