Tuesday thread: Election Day 2022

Early vote has surged. Today's the day and tonight the results *begin* to come in. The polls are tight, and no one knows what will happen.

So yeah, it’s Election Day. And I’m sure many of you have a lot of anxiety. I too couldn’t sleep (but that’s me every Election Day Eve!). But just remember: No one knows what will happen, including the pollsters and forecasters — certainly with regard to the Senate — for reasons I’ve discussed here for the past several weeks.

If the best case scenario happens, great. If the worst case scenario happens, remember: it's still not 2016. If it’s something in-between, we’ll take it. Whatever happens, there's much work to do, and no one should give up.

This thread is for discussion today and updates tonight and perhaps for however long this goes on, which could be days. First a few things I do want to stress.
