It was a 50-49 vote in the wee hours of the morning, as if the Senate GOP’s enablers wanted to hide all their dirty work. But Todd Blanche, who has enabled Donald Trump’s unconstitutional and corrupt actions, is now the Attorney General. The enablers, after first putting up resistance, gave feeble reasons for supporting Blanche, but in the end this was about loyalty to the GOP and the enablers worried about their futures and even possible threats…
We are finally seeing Trump bleeding MAGA voters, particularly among a core part of his base: non-college-educated whites. The anecdotal evidence has been clear, as they’re literally crying on television about prices—and I’ve been playing those clips on my SiriusXM program—but the numbers also show it’s clear, and it’s disastrous for Republicans heading into the midterms…
Trump also saw his $10 billion lawsuit against the BBC backfire this week, as he suddenly withdrew the heart of his claims after the state-owned UK broadcaster demanded his financials. The backpedaling is pretty hilarious, as the BBC is saying Trump must show proof his businesses were hurt by a documentary, while Trump’s lawyers are claiming that they now only want money for “reputational” damages, not actual losses, as they filed an emergency motion to stop the financials from being disclosed…
