Weekend Report: What's going on?
Trump ready to deploy the military he's once again denigrated. JD Vance is the least popular VP running mate in history. Harris continues to surge, as we're headed to the DNC.
Donald Trump has had several weeks to get used to the idea that he’s running against Kamala Harris. But he just can’t cope. And now he once again belittled the service of those in the military in recounting his giving the Medal of Freedom, the highest presidential honor for a civilian, to one of his campaign backers, a casino magnate—and was denounced by the Veterans of Foreign Wars last night. And yet, a new report outlines how he’ll use the military—those he denigrates—on U.S. soil against protests, crime, and migrants if elected president.
A new poll shows that Vice President Harris’ running mate, Governor Tim Walz, has high favorability among the public, while JD Vance is underwater and sinking further. In fact, he’s now the most unpopular vice presidential candidate in history—and that includes Sarah Palin.
New data points to Harris surging in the Sun Belt, offering her more paths to winning the presidency, all coming on the eve the Democratic National Convention, which I’m excited to be broadcasting live from next week!
