It was a good week for Democrats, and that includes both President Biden and, with a month left before the election, Vice President Harris. From the ending of the port workers strike with a great deal for workers and the unsealing of Jack Smith’s bombshell Jan. 6th filing to the soaring jobs numbers and solid wage growth report, the news put the focus on the issues important to the voters. But you wouldn’t know that from the corporate media’s determined horse race coverage of the presidential race…
President Biden, for one, took a victory lap on the economic news, appearing in the White House briefing room on Friday for the first time. He also warned of the potential for violence surrounding the election, something that, again, the media has focused little attention on as Donald Trump has continually fomented violence against his perceived enemies…
And there’s been little attention focused on Trump’s and JD Vance’s absence from the Family Research Council’s annual Christian nationalist summit in Washington—which Trump gives a speech at almost every year, including in 2020 just before the election. Is that because Trump is running scared on the issue of abortion and distancing himself from Christian nationalists (and causing tensions), even though it’s far too late for that?…
