Weekend Report: What's going on?
Trump mental decline, confuses Nikki Haley with....Pelosi! New report shows consumers embracing surging economy. CNN still debating whether to air Trump speeches live--seriously!
Donald Trump is petrified, worried that his aura of invincibility is being pierced after Iowa—where half of caucus goers backed another candidate—and as Nikki Haley gives him a run in New Hampshire with polls showing she has some momentum. True to form, Trump is engaging in racist attacks on her. And in a gobsmacking episode that pointed to what is clearly continued mental decline, he blamed her for January 6th, confusing Haley with Nancy Pelosi. No, this is not a normal flub—he used her name over and over—and shows something’s going on with this guy.
The S&P 500 surged to a record high yesterday, after a report from the University of Michigan that Wall Street watches closely concluded that consumers see a healthy economy, now and for the future, and see inflation coming down. This comes a day after a Harris poll showed that almost two-thirds of Americans feel good about their personal finances. All of that melts away GOP talking points in this election year. Biden will have the last laugh on the media and Republicans for their having mocked Bidenomics.
And here we are in 2024, and CNN is still debating whether or not to broadcast Donald Trump’s speeches—years after they gave him free air time in 2016 and helped elect him as he spread hate and lies. MSNBC didn’t air Trump’s victory speech in Iowa and took hell for it from a hypocritical Fox News. But CNN just can’t quit him.
