Trump gushes over Mamdani. MTG is resigning from Congress, trashes Trump. Zelensky told by Trump to sign deal bowing to Russia demands by Thanksgiving.
After a week in which Republicans in Congress rebuked Trump in a stunning near-unanimous demand for release of the Epstein files, the debilitating dictator capitulated to New York Mayor-elect Zohran Mamdani in a made-for-TV Oval Office presser. Trump gushed, heaping praise on Mamdani, who masterfully got promises of help from Trump. As I’ve said for months, Trump’s attacks on Mamdani revealed his fears—and jealously—of a savvy populist leader on the left who hit back hard. The meeting proved it, and Democrats should take notice.
Fresh off her victory in leading the rebellion within MAGA against Trump, Marjorie Taylor Greene shocked the political world when she announced her resignation from Congress last night, effective January. She claimed she didn’t want to go through a bruising primary battle, but with her voters in her district backing her, this doesn’t appear to be the real reason.
Trump has only shown how weak he is in the past month, and that’s clear in his once again bowing to Vladimir Putin, telling Ukraine to accept a deal that gives Russia everything it wanted. This isn’t the first time we’ve been here, but Trump appears to be banking on other issues distracting people, while Putin has a gun to his head.
