Weekend Report: What’s happening?

Petrified Trump orders investigation of Dems and Epstein, but not himself. Lashes out at Marjorie Taylor Greene, cuts ties. And with MAGA in revolt, he retreats on tariffs, admits they raise prices.

Donald Trump is having another full-blown meltdown, but this time it seems more severe than ever. Deathly afraid of the Epstein files and what Congress released this week, he ordered the Justice Dept to investigate Bill Clinton and other Democrats regarding Epstein. But this is the same administration that said months ago that there was nothing there. By the way, Trump also replied to a reporter that he has “no idea” why he had an MRI. Is that even remotely plausible?

The cascading Epstein saga sent Trump to Truth Social in a rage last night, where he wrote a long screed attacking his onetime best buddy Marjorie Taylor Greene, who’s been among those leading the charge on releasing the Epstein files among the MAGA GOP. Greene, who we all remember as a crazed lunatic jumping up and down at Joe Biden’s State of the Union, has suddenly become mild-mannered, and has also been hard on the GOP leadership regarding the shutdown and the Obamacare subsidies. Trump clearly now sees her as a grave threat.

With MAGA in revolt and Trump’s numbers plummeting among all Americans but also within the GOP—particularly regarding the economy—Trump desperately announced he’s lifting tariffs on a variety of food items, from coffee to bananas, many of which are not grown or produced in the U.S. He promised this would bring prices down, which is a full-blown admission that he knows tariffs cause inflation!
