In the wake of the No Kings protests, we’re seeing Donald Trump further slide in polls. Now, with the National Guard and US Marines occupying Los Angeles, Trump got what he wanted but each day it's radioactive for him and the GOP as we head to 2026 and the mid-terms.
The last of the foreign students seized upon by the Trump administration, Mamoud Khalil, was freed on bail by a judge who also ruled that Marco Rubio violated the law in detaining him. This comes as a judge has ruled Trump can’t ban foreign students at Harvard, and as Trump is now seeking a deal with Harvard that looks like another bit of TACO.
And JD Vance only underscored why this administration continues to decline—and why Vance is seen as even more odious than Trump—by calling Senator Alex Padilla, “Jose Padilla,” a name of a man who was convicted on terrorism charges almost two decades ago.
