There’s a lot of outrage among Democrats over the spending bill that the House loaded with money for Donald Trump’s deportations while cutting vital programs—and which gave more power to Trump and Elon Musk as they destroy our government—that passed the Senate on Friday with the help of cowardly Democrats, who refused to filibuster to bill. Chuck Schumer first said he opposed it—forcefully—then overnight he publicly flipped. Enough Democrats followed him, giving up what little leverage they had over Trump. A lot of us are frustrated, often with the Democrats, but it’s important to keep focused on the anger out there against the GOP, from independents and Republicans too, and organize to help Democrats win back the House next year. Democrats are now organizing events in GOP districts, which is a smart thing to do.
