In the second time he’s spoken out on the leak of the Supreme Court’s draft decision overturning Roe v. Wade, Justice Clarence Thomas again lamented the erosion of “trust” in the court caused by the leak. Thomas went on and on about how terrible this was and how “you begin to look over your shoulder.”

Never mind that Thomas and his wife Ginni — who urged Trump’s chief of staff to overturn the election, giving him pointers, while her husband was hearing arguments challenging election results — have done more to erode the court in the last several years than anything else. Never mind that the horrendous decision to overturn Roe, a super precedent affirming the rights of women to their bodies, erodes the court’s credibility dramatically.
Never mind all that. Thomas’s whining and whaling just seems a bit overwrought, and points to the possibility that he full well knows where the leak came from and that it serves conservatives quite well in their goals.
