Unprecedented assault inside Israel by Hamas. Jim Jordan's deep involvement in January 6th is being muted. Corporate media on the defensive after baffling reporting about stunning jobs report.
In an unprecedented action, Hamas fired thousands of rockets into Israel and also sent fighters into Israeli towns near the Gaza Strip. It was a surprise attack that showed an intelligence failure on Israel’s part, with the death toll of civilians and Israeli military so far at 100, with hundreds wounded. There are also reports of hundreds of Palestinian deaths and thousands of civilians wounded in Gaza as Israel retaliates and Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu declares “we are at war” and vows further military response.
GOP Congressman Jim Jordan is trying to get the votes of 218 Republicans to be elected House Speaker now that he’s gotten the backing of Donald Trump. But he refuses to discuss his involvement in the January 6th insurrection, having planned with Trump and others both before and after the attack on the U.S. Capitol.
And the stunning jobs report this week, which showed a vigorous and strong economy—which President Biden said was the result of Bidenomics in action—was bafflingly reported on by the corporate media as something problematic (!), while they also pulled out their tired mantra that the message is just not “breaking through” to Americans for Biden—when they are the ones who aren’t taking the message to the people. In a press conference, the president finally swatted the media for their reporting, putting them on the defensive.
