Oliver Darcy, a CNN media reporter who writes the CNN Reliable Sources newsletter, was apparently called on the carpet by Chris Licht, the CEO, and top executives, who told him he was too critical of the Trump town hall—and was apparently shaken by what they said. So much for independence at CNN.

The man who choked to death homeless Jordan Neely on a New York City subway car has finally been arrested on second-degree manslaughter charges. But in a predictable and ugly turn of events, Daniel Perry, a man who killed a Black man suffering from mental illness, has become a MAGA hero, now raising hundreds of thousands of dollars in donations on the site Kyle Rittenhouse raised money on after he, too, became a darling of the far right.

And George Santos, for a change, actually confessed to a crime: He settled with a Brazilian court, paying a fine for forging checks, all to avoid being extradited back to Brazil. Santos was also let out on $500,000 bail for the more serious charges he was indicted on in Washington to which he pleaded not guilty. Yet he’s penniless, and it raises the question of who is paying to keep him out of jail and sitting in Congress?
