Fake electors in Georgia take immunity deal. Trump's insane deposition in rape trial. Other ways Democrats can take on the Supreme Court.
More than half of Georgia’s Republican fake electors—part of an alleged scheme to overturn the 2020 election results in the state and the nation—have received an immunity deal from the Fulton County prosecutor, according to a court filing. This means they could be testifying against Donald Trump, Rudy Giuliani, and others as we wait for the prosecutors decision on indictments.
Trump’s deposition in the civil trial brought by E. Jean Carroll, who alleges he raped her in a department store dressing room in the 90s, is completely bonkers—in addition to showing him to be angry and insulting—and undermines his defense dramatically.
And is withholding funds from the Supreme Court the way Democrats can force an ethics code on it? Democrats have the power to do that in addition to some other oversight, and some are pushing in that direction.
