Weekend thread: What's happening?

Casey DeSantis is as much of a monster as her husband. GOP getting more coked up. Trump tried to use IRS to punish enemies--of course!

It’s nice when the week is short and the weekend comes so quickly!

And in this short week, we learned two things about the DeSantis family. Ron is so desperate that he’ll embrace neo-Nazis and incels openly, even if the media is afraid to call it out. And Casey DeSantis is just as ruthless as Ron is, making an ad that breaks with the tradition of candidate spouses and brutally goes on the attack, packed with hate, homophobia, and transphobia.

The GOP effort to create a scandal over cocaine found at the White House—and connect it to Hunter Biden and Joe Biden, who weren’t even there—has entered the realm of sheer lunacy, in which if someone once used cocaine, they must be responsible for all cocaine found somewhere they may have been. Has the GOP forgotten that one of their own presidents, George W. Bush, used cocaine and that his brother Jeb Bush’s daughter, a White House and Camp David visitor, was arrested for possessing crack cocaine?

And another thing we learned this week for your weekend discussion here: Donald Trump, a la Richard Nixon, attempted to use the IRS to go after his enemies. Which should come as a surprise to no one.
