Weekend thread: What's happening?
Just days to go before the mid-terms. Trump to announce shortly after that he's running in '24. Twitter meltdown may cause chaos on Election Day.
We’re days before the mid-terms and, if you’re reading major news sites or watching TV news, you’re seeing the media narrative of some sort of red wave. Kind of. Maybe. But maybe not — “full surge or GOP wipeout,” is what they’re telling us.
In other words: they don’t know anything as the polls are very tight so they’re siding for whatever reason with a red wave-ish.

And as far as I’m concerned this should give Democrats even more momentum. Trump is on the ballot for sure. And he’s facing indictment. Will Merrick Garland move forward before he announces? Will he bring in a special prosecutor?
And Twitter is melting down as Elon Musk is facing an advertiser revolt and beginning to charge people for blue check marks — but without verification. And that’s a recipe for election chaos by people with blue checks pushing disinformation, according to social media experts.
