Trump posts threat of revenge while DOJ asks for protective order. Even Biden critics admit economy is booming and they were wrong. DeSantis silent as environmental crisis unfolds in Florida.
Donald Trump posted a threat on Truth Social: "If you go after me, I'm coming after you!" It came just a day after he was arraigned in federal court, warned that he must meet conditions set by his release—including not to intimidate witnesses.
The post prompted the special counsel’s office to immediately seek a protective order from the judge presiding over the January 6th case against Trump. But Trump’s lawyers are saying it’s free speech, all perfectly innocent, and has nothing to do with the case.
The economy is humming along with no recession in sight, as a jobs boom is showing how robust conditions are. And now at least one prominent critic is crediting President Biden’s American Rescue Plan and admitting to being wrong. All other critics should follow suit.
And in Florida, coral reefs are dying in the Keys amid record heat, prompting scientists to dive for them and save them in laboratory nurseries. Yet Governor Ron DeSantis, who is running for president, hasn’t said or done anything about what environmentalists call a climate change disaster.
