We’re seeing the rapid escalation of the radical extremist movement in power in the House of Representatives, as Donald Trump continues to promote violence, fearful of indictments.

House Speaker Kevin McCarthy met with the mother of Ashli Babbitt, the insurrectionist who was shot and killed while threatening the lives of members of Congress on 1/6. The meeting came just before Congresswoman Marjorie Taylor Greene led a MAGA delegation to visit jailed in insurrectionists, emboldening their cause.

All this as the same members of Congress defend Trump against investigations and indictments, attacking law enforcement and staying silent as he promotes violence and heads to Waco, Texas, a place that has become a pilgrimage site for white supremacists and the so-called patriot movement. Trump kicks off his 2024 campaign at the site of a government siege 30 years ago which supercharged the far right.
