If there is a clear indication Donald Trump is planning to run for president it is this: Trump spoke Friday at the Faith and Freedom Coalition, a gathering of extreme Christian nationalists, and tore into Mike Pence, responding directly to the third public hearing of the January 6th select committee, and calling Pence a “human conveyer belt.” This event is a place where GOP contenders go to woo the cultists — and Pence, whose natural base is Christian nationalists, has indicated he could be a candidate in 2024. This was Trump locking down this loyal group of voters.
