GOP chaos at RNC, and in House leadership. Trump's trading card grift backfires spectacularly. Musk suspends, then un-suspends journalists from Twitter.
It’s been a week of complete meltdowns among right-wing conservatives and extremists, heading into the weekend — whether it be in the uncertain House leadership race, the nasty Republican National Committee chair battle, Donald Trump’s dud of a “big announcement”or Elon Musk’s erratic behavior and purges of journalists.
I think all of this can be traced back to one thing: The GOP bet on a red wave and it never happened, which has them and their supporters losing it and trying to find ways to somehow right the wrongs that they created for themselves. It all happened — or rather didn’t happen — because they bet on Trump, who himself believed he’d create a red wave that would electrify his candidacy. Instead, the red wave — and, so far, his candidacy — fizzled.
