When it is someone they know, they can often empathize and show a little more compassion and understanding. Sadly, their empathy ends there. They cant see people in the distance who are suffering and feel anything but judgment and condemnation.

Sorry but whenever I hear the people who declare Trump voters as stupid in a smugly superior way as if Trump can be brushed aside as being too stupid to be dangerous when we blow 2 elections in allowing Trump to win it kind of sets me off at how glibly we disregard the absolute tragedy the 2016 election was that saddled us with SCOTUS. As far as I'm concerned all other topics are directly related to the greatest blunder by the American electorate in history. I won't address it again except as post and not a reply but I won't shut up either or stick to the topic. If you want to be upset about the treatment of minorities in America we should have all voted to protect them from a Trump picked SCOTUS. Again I won't address this issue except as a new post and not as a reply. If this election gives me a reason to put this topic to rest I'll do it but it will take dedication over a long period to undo SCOTUS. Not people whose desire to vote to prevent the worst from happening can't be depended upon to protect the minorities we claim to care about. I will never bother you again. On an individual basis, they can have a fine relationship - gay Republicans routinely point out that fellow Republicans are nicer to them than other gays. One on one, they love us.
