Then the Universe (in the form of fierce warrior Mallory McMorrow) popped in to reignite my fighting spirit. Not only is she in Michigan. But she represents me and lives in the same city!! It's a very welcome sign. At least I'm taking it as a sign because it gives me energy and some hope I haven't felt in a while.

I am so proud to see a Democrat from my state, and my sisters district in Royal Oak, MI have the courage to say what was needed to be said! She inspired me to call my Fed Senators and Reps, my local Reps, Nancy Pelosi's office and Chuck Schummers office and told them that the old politics they are playing are destroying the Democrats and pissing off their base and that we are sick of begging them to speak the hell up like Sen. Mallory McMorrow did; told them to get mad, the base has been mad and disgusted for years! Every single day the GOP hands us on a silver platter more and more crap to use against them, its never been made so easy for us to go after the GOP, yet I don't see it happening like it needs to happen. I told them I NEED to SEE them on the Sunday news programs, that the Dems need to ban together, and when we get a Manchin or Sinema, we need to call them out and blame them for the obstruction that is stopping the will of 81 million people. Maybe if we let our base know how 2 bad lying Dems are holding us back, more people will understand why its so important to gain more seats in the Senate so the will of the people is met. I begged them all to tune into Progress radio on Sirius, especially Michelangelo Signorile 3-6pm and then Dean from 6-9pm and hear the anger and frustration from their base that calls into these shows,.
In my calls I also told them that its time the older politicians of every side get the hell out (I know Thom Hartman wouldn't like that, but too bad, its the truth) and let my and the next generations have a turn, the arrogance of the leadership thinking they know best is an elite attitude that is sickening and must end NOW. I think the sweetest part of this speech is how she's woke enough (yes, woke!) to know that her privileges as a "straight white Christian suburban mom" are a great weapon to fight back against the bigotry and cruelty that many marginalized groups are suffering right now.
