Excellent comments, Mike. Messaging is so important, and the corporate media is not helpful, for example today's NYT about Biden's unpopularity. Pushing him out now is in nobody's best interest except Republicans, in my opinion--and i have plenty of differences with him. I don't trust the Times to have the best interest of Americans in mind, sadly.
I'm not so sure that that all of the gerrymandering puts the House in the bag for the G💀P now that it's becoming increasingly clear that they are aiming to supplant democracy w/ an ugly mix of fascism & theocracy. IMO, Biden's low numbers reflect his inability to keep Manchin & Sinema from blocking most of his agenda w/ their duplicitous defense of the filibuster, the true purpose of which is to give de facto control of the Senate to McReptile. Biden is now viewed as weak bc in his hands, the levers of power are useless, even w/ regard to reining in two rogue traitors of his own party. If he had control of a true 50% of the Senate, the Dem base would be singing his praises. Now people are looking around for a metaphorical godfather who is not afraid to do whatever is necessary to keep this country from devolving into the United States of Afghanistan. Sometimes you have to break a few knees to keep your Republic, lol.
I give money monthly to Senator Warnock and I am feeling more confident that he will retain his Senate seat but I remember Senator Doug Jones in Alabama. Jones defeated the child molester Roy Moore in 2018 by about a percentage point. In 2020 in his reelection bid Jones lost to Tommy Tuberville, a former football coach by a wide margin. After his victory Tubby was asked what the three branches of government were and he could not answer that simple question. I know the Georgia is different than Alabama but they are both football loving southern states. We must all hold our collective breath until 11-08-2022.
The only reason Tommy Potatoville won the US Senate election was because he was a former college football coach. Had he been one of the usual neo-confederate racist good-ole boys, Doug Jones would have one. But the all the dumb no-info college football fans who rarely or never voted decided to come out to the polls in droves, so that was the main factor. Hopefully he'll be in an orange jumpsuit pretty soon due to major involvement he had in the Jan. 6th terrorist attack, and his fraudulent charities.
Your comments are spot on Michelangelo… AZ resident here. I decided to change my registration to GOP… I’m going to choose, in the primary the worst possible candidates for all positions..it’s a tough choice for AZ Governor… Blake Masters or Karri Puddle..I’m choosing Blake, he seems the most unhinged. Years ago Newt proposed this strategy to bring down the Dems on the primary ticket, so I have to thank him for this inspiration.. Best to you….
Your comments are spot on, Michelangelo. They have echoed some of my thoughts as I read through the news. It is totally the Republicans in disarray and not the Dems. Stay on point, stay on message, and carry that message to the people to be successful in November.
Having endured the Beltway press for nearly 2 decades I can honestly tell you that bubble is nearly inprenetreable. The descent into the lowest common denominator of extremism is where the barometer will inform the average gop voter. The dumbing down has worked to an extent. You and I know intellectually that it all boils down to what have you done for me lately. The rogue Supreme Court has shown us that life means absolutely nothing compared to exercising raw power. An inert Senate of today isn't where we want to be and November will tell us where the lurch backward truly is.

H. Walker. Geez, how low can we go.
There should be no contest between him and a class act like Raphael Warnock.

Tim Ryan is going to win in Ohio.
