I agree that Biden did the right and honorable thing. But here's another perspective - IMO Democrats DESPERATELY need to show by example what we do when we're in charge. But we need to up our MESSAGING strategies significantly to do that. We are competing against the effective brainwashing techniques of FOX & now OANN & Newsmax - who have had decades to define us as the Great Satan while we never pushed back with another definition. Biden signing the checks would have been MESSAGING that we need right now. I do hope he includes a letter signed by him. No, it's not about him, but we cannot let Republicans keep. defining us to the people actually helped by our policies, without doing something to drown out their noise.

Respectfully why is this topic even being brought up by the media? For months and months before the election I listened to media reporters and journalists talk about how much of a relief it will be to not have to talk about Trump everyday and yet it still continues far too much.

We’re nearing the end of 3rd quarter 2021 and yet still inundated with constant comparisons of what Trump did to Biden’s actions? Trump was not the one and only president of this country prior to Biden. There are far more pressing issues going on in the US that deserve more attention than what person’s signature is on a stimulus check that many won’t even see due to direct deposit.

Does anyone else think Biden got the original bill for COVID-19 relief to add up to $1.9T on purpose? And that he was not going to budge from that number: 1.9 for 19? No matter what.

I do.

Some of the very best presidential legislating I have seen since LBJ. All done without earmarks or any arm-twisting (that we saw, anyway). I guess this is what they mean when they talk about Joe Biden being "a creature of the Senate." He can get things done at the other end of Pennsylvania Avenue, and he got them done here.

Good things happen when we elect Democrats™
