He only listened to the defense for the same reason he only watches Fox News it validates what he already believes. I like how he was trying to set up his liberal bonafides “I’m a thinking liberal on my way back to liberal Seattle”

Absolutely true. But you'd think he wouldn't admit it.

When he said, " If you would just let me finish my thought..." You KNOW he's a fake Liberal. Conservatives are generally not used to being faced mid sentence. And bringing up Defunding the police? Please.

Ha, yes, we know these types from a mile away!

I knew this Richard clown was total BS when he said that he was trying this Stephen Crowder-like "convince me otherwise" nonsense.

All I can say Michelangelo is "Thank God he was not on that jury!" It would have only taken one person like him to cause a mistrial. I know that in our criminal justice system a person is considered innocent until proven guilty. I will admit that when the trial started I was already convinced that Chauvin was guilty (which is why I could have never been a juror on that case). After opening statements I told myself I would be open and listen to both sides, but felt that the Defense would have to work very hard to convince me beyond a reasonable doubt that Chauvin was not guilty. I followed the whole trial (unlike your caller) and in my opinion the prosecution shot down every argument the Defense put out there. No, George Floyd did not die from an overdose, heart attack or CO poisoning. No, he did not follow his training. An there is no way Chauvin was intimidated by the bystanders (which included teenage girls) especially with 3 other officers there. No, in the end I was not convinced and neither was the jury.

"I ain't got time for that!!" Was exactly the right thing to say. The nerve of people. The mediocrity staggers me. I wish you had said, "read a book, bitch." sorry but, sometimes I wish I was Ralph Kramden, and circle my fist in the air and say "To the MOOOOOON"

Right on point Michelangelo as we have come to expect from you. This guy tried (he thought) to pretend he was a "big thinking" liberal, but then he disregarded the facts of the case and got angry when you tried to school him. One thing that he mentioned really got me, that there was an altercation with Mr. Floyd prior to the pinning to the ground and the subsequent death. If he had listened to the trial he would have known that Mr. Floyd (a big man) was reticent to get in the back seat of the police cruiser due to claustrophobia. As someone who has suffered with this for my whole life, I felt sympathy with Mr. Floyd.

Right, he was trying to say what they did was warranted Floyd was dangerous and yet hadn't seen (he claimed) the rest of the trial.

Once again, my mind is blown by another unbelievable ignorant phony calling in to your show claiming to be a 'big thinking liberal'. Give me a f-ing break! Did this big thinker Proud Boy even see the video of George Floyd, thrown to the ground, handcuffed behind his back, with the crushing weight of Derek Chauvin compressing his neck mercilessly for almost ten minutes, murdering him before our very eyes while people were pleading for him to stop!? Michelangelo your restraint was amazing. I was outraged and angry hearing him!

You just know that there are people who won't believe their own eyes. Because they are just plain racist. Thanks!

He says “convince me”. LOL, and he was serious too. There has to be a clown convention somewhere that he should focus on getting ready for.

Michelangelo Signorile's avatar

Right -- trying to take of the show and made me be the one on defensive. Are you kidding me?

Doing your show for as many years as you have certainly has you ready to suss out a phony every time. Had he been a "big-thinker" he'd have been "yeah - butting" the defense's argument the entire time like the rest of us. Once again, you handled the guy brilliantly.
