In his world, the maximum penalty is torture. then execution. He will get neither, so the best we can hope for is jail, which could end up being house arrest. The New York Times has, once again, decided to sugarcoat Trump coverage. First, it took them years to ever employ the word "lie" to describe the over 30,000 lies that he told when president. The latest word that seems to be verboten at The Times is "fascism."
They are pathetic. And slowly but surely they will prove Trump right when he called them "the enemy of the people."
The NYT lost me in 2016. CNN lost me this past year. Their prostration to “access” undermines any journalistic integrity they used to have. Their “both sides-ism” is wrong in so many ways. WaPo still gets it right most of the time. And I am very happy with the LA Times which I read daily. They’d def be on Fake Bone Spurs’ vermin list.

Hamas is to blame for the War in Israel and Gaza. Yes, the US is a strong ally of Israel, but Biden can only do so much. He does not have control over the Israeli government and military. He has asked for a cease fire to allow Palestinians to leave Gaza and get humanitarian aide to those people, but it is up to Netanyahu to do this, not Biden. The issue is, a cease fire will only help Hamas, not necessarily the Palestinian people. Biden didn’t “allow” anything to happen. This War is not The Biden War. The US has always wanted a 2 state solution. It is the Rightwing Netanyahu, and other Arab countries who don’t.
It’s just a very scary time around the world, but we have survived other trauma and we will survive this. Democracy always wins in the end. Hang in there.
