This is the result of us being tolerant of intolerance. For years we’ve appeased religious people, tolerating their bullshit. Done, done and done. It’s time to give them a taste of their own medicine. I go out of my way to let any xtian business know that I will NOT patronize them. You have a fucking fish on your ad? Expect a fuck you call. Motherfuckers need a fucking wake up call. And please please please tell all your friends to stop going to fucking chickfila. The only valid reason to go there is to leave them an upperdecker.

Starting with Hobby Lobby. I remember a story I heard several years about a Jewish woman who walked into Hobby Lobby looking for decorations for a Hannukah celebration. She was told: "Oh, we don't carry THAT..." Fuck them. I like your attitude. Mind if I adopt it?

Very sad day for lovers of liberty, the Christo-Fascists seem to be winning, even based on a spurious case against LGBTQ people. Instead of expunging #TraitorTrump's record as the RepubliKKKans in the House are trying to do, the Democrats need to examine his record and investigate the way he stole the election in 2016 and then invalidate not only his presidency but every law passed and every person he appointed as he is the most evil man to ever lead our country and only achieved the high office with Putin's help. Then we should outlaw the RepubliKKKlan Party just as they are trying to outlaw women, minorities, the poor and LGBTQ people. The GOP is an international hate group.

Why did Biden just say that he can’t politicize the court by packing it with more justices? It could not be more politicized. A pack of Christo Fascist justices just took on a fake case and ruled in favor of encouraging discrimination! He better change his tune. Immediately

It's time for the IRS and DOJ to investigate the justices who are public grifters (Thomas and Alito, possibly Kavanaugh), because CLEARLY they did not declare any of their gifts on their income taxes. Each man is probably up to their eyeballs in tax fraud. It's time for them to be held accountable. Yes, these assholes are coming for our lives. It's time to fight back. And yes, if they have ANY, ANY, ANY closeted sexual behavior, they need to be outed. I'm just done with the corrupt court.

It's long past time for us to recognize that six members of the Roberts Court got their seats by committing perjury during their confirmation hearings when they expressed fidelity to the rule of law and stare decisis.

As such, they are nothing more than felons running a glorified taxpayer funded RICO operation. And until we do something about that by expanding the court, they will burn this place to the ground.

I hate having to like articles that prove the former USA is just another third world nation undoing the modicum of forward movement because the whyte man refuses to accept the minorities he flung the door open for after the killing and kidnapping he did to build this nation. The supremacist court just became an arm of the executive branch and in two other rulings decided to fuck progress by telling us "we've decided that legacy admissions are more important (read well go do whites are more important than diversity)" and that reserving the ability to hate supercedes reality. After finding out the Asians were actually a cover for a conservative white hellbent on bringing Uncle Thomas his fevered dream of dismantling a roadmap to equality he took advantage of. When you've imbued six of nine justice members with skewed ideas that precedents are ephemeral, the multicultural nation is a joke played on everyone who thought we could overcome the extremes of an ever decreasing majority...

Time to fight fire with fire💥Now that the gloves are off. And it’s ok to discriminate against the lgbtq a+ communities, it is time for my and my friends “ sincerely held religious belt” to be upheld. The answer. Signs posted in stores “ l am sorry my religious beliefs prohibit me from providing services to all Trump supporters including MAGA supporters, right wingers, conspiracy theorists “. Have a problem contact one of the 6. Otherwise Sorry. This is war

And now that the corrupt SCOTUS has thrown out Biden's student loan forgiveness.....as dreadful as this all is , we now need to ensure that these SCOTUS decisions are exploited to motivate a massive voter turnout and give the Democrats a landslide win in 2024.

How sad that we have such a corrupt court. A clear agenda that they are forcing on us all. How do we fight back? Expanding the SC doesn’t seem realistic, Biden doesn’t want to touch that. Now with throwing out student loan forgiveness, I hope he reconsiders

The other way is going after the corrupt ones and forcing them to resign. Since shaming them is not working, maybe locking them up will.

My earlier posts were reflexive rather than introspective and may have seemed to be angry which they are. However what is an appropriate response to a decision that is rooted in bias and bigotry and is fundamentally flawed from a rational perspective rooted in neutrality? The Supreme Court in theory is supposed to be committed to equality of justice. The reality is that the court has been thwarted and hijacked of late by far right ideological bias. Each of the 3 justices chosen by 45 were chosen by the federalist society and were chosen specifically to reverse and overturn decisions that were progressive. Each candidate weee deliberately avoidant and hid their views and their histories. They were circumspect. Yet they passed. Hence our current situation . The flawed and bigoted decision of the Supreme Court today re 1st amendment rights vs lgbtq+ rights based on a case where there were no actual people but a hypothetical is absurd and outrageous. Not that this was not predictable. The decision today brought me back to my own experience growing up in a city that outsiders contended was progressive. It brought back what it was like in the 60s growing up in a very homophobic country and city and society. It brought back the pain at nearly 65 in a personal way what bigotry looks like. Then if you did not present in a heteronormative way you would be reminded regularly and daily with taunts, threats, ridicule and a range of constant insults. How do I know ? Because that was shared with me. So when I hear that decision it conjures up the trauma of that abuse and bigotry. It wasn’t relegated to the Boroughs. The abusive bigotry was ever present in Manhattan as well. Well into the 80s. Therefore the context of my impassioned response comes from a place of remembrance. It reminds me of the reason why my grandparents came here from Poland and from the Ukraine. The bigotry they experienced as my grandparents shared compelled them to seek refuge here. That’s why my second cousin lives in Havana. Bigotry and hate destroy societies. The Supreme Court has now shown they are committed to non equality and their judgement is significantly compromised. I don’t know many of you. This was difficult to write. Make no mistake this is why for the 15 years or so I may have I will not go back but I and my husband are now working with an attorney for Italian citizenship. Is Italy gay friendly? Of course not. That said Italy is looking like Denmark each day that passes in relationship to the tsunami of bigotry that is steamrolling over this country.

I've thought of going for Italian citizenship, but I'm too old to move and my husband would never move. So I sit in the Fascist state of DeSantis-land.

Understood. We are encountering challenges inspire of them after our 3 week trip. We have decided that we love the way of life. The Italians love of art, history, architecture, fashion sold us. People know how to unwind and relish and savor the beauty of life. I can’t any longer rationalize living in a place where half of the people are opposed to my existence. I am choosing life and joy and for each person that is different and personal. To me there’s a general under appreciation of many things in our culture and an embrace men t of ignorance and bigotry

Understandable. My grandparents all came from Italy. I don't speak the language, unfortunately, so that would be a barrier to my moving. I can understand LGBTQ people moving. Europe, in general, is much more progressive than our Puritanical country.

the thing about Student Loan forgiveness is this was a way to thwart Biden!! But, let's put some things out there. I have so much to say about this. full disclosure, I am on the hook for about $200,000 in student loans. I do not expect not to have to pay my loans back. when I chose to go back to school, I really didn't have a choice, it was either that or be out of job. I also didn't expect my education to cost more than $40,000, it ended up costing $150,000. What I would be looking for is not forgiveness but reform!! I need to have the compounding interest be refinanced into a fixed rate 1 - 3%, why should the government make money off of me. I already pay taxes. #2 we already know that there are horror stories of people who have paid back their loans and haven't missed a payment, and still after 10 - 15 years they still haven't even touched the principal. Those loans should be forgiven!! #3 people who are living in poverty mostly due to student loan debt ... those loans should be forgiven. #4 people bellyaching about how "they didn't go college" why should they pay the price for others. I would tell them to "pound sand" and be grateful ... there are a lot of things in the world that are unfair and there is a lot of stuff that your tax dollars are spent on that you have no say in, so get over it!! Also, lots of people received loans for Covid and didn't pay them back, including some members of Congress. And what about the banks and corporations who were bailed out. Somehow when ever there is something that will benefit main street there is opposition to it. What makes me angry is people just don't want to see other people benefit or have good things. We always have this mindset that people have wealth because they work hard and poor people are poor because they are lazy. And that people who didn't want to work went to college and now they want their college tuition paid for. When we all know college should be free, but I digress. The bottom line and all kidding aside is Student loan forgiveness is good politics and good economics, two things that the GOP would rather poke their eyes out before allowing for good things happening under Biden. And the other that really irks me is that people who didn't go to college all have a chip on their shoulder about it. Personally for me, an educated populace only benefits us as a whole!!
