Speaking of the Elephant in the room, the 2020 election strategy was to pay Mr T down and it was effective, but after failing to nail Frankenstein's coffin shut and allowing him to roam and have candidate status(to raise money and play the political witch hunt card), they have to go head to head with this monster - by having putting him/them on the defensive. For every criticism, have a response, for instance the border; "my predecessor did the illegal act of separating children from families which we do not do in the USA, immigrants are allowed asylum, and then after his wall was not funded, he declared a state of emergency and took Pentagon funds to build a wall which was the biggest frauds and boondoggles ever. We are diligently working on a clear and effective immigration policy. ETC. ETC to infinity. This needs to spread to all surrogates and hammer, hammer. Kamala needs to take on the role of the future policy, and that Democrats are the ones that will solve climate, housing, insurance, child care, AI, and explain policy to do so, again surrogates hammering the same message. With the Democrats we will have a century of prosperity; with Republicans it is a police state of fear and prosperity for oligarchs and criminals.
You know there was a time in this country, not so long ago, where threats like these were taken seriously and the FBI, Secret Service, et al., were dispatched tout de suite, to arrest, interrogate and put and end to these now common potential National Security nightmares.

Their pleas to “respect our beliefs” are finding an audience. There was a time when fascists would not demonstrate, at least in some places, for fear of the response from fellow citizens. Can only surmise that the consolidation of legacy media in the hands of the few is the culprit. I figured the MSNBC coverage following the debate would hit the highlights, though I shut that off after about a half hour since there just was "no there there" with the debate--certainly nothing new to report.
I don't get why the other candidates are so afraid of 45. Okay, I mean, I get it, but I don't understand why someone--or all of them--doesn't just try to take him down and address the elephant in the room. I mean their current strategies aren't working--and won't work--so why not go for broke?
The debate was the asshole-fest I expected it to be, really loathe every single person on that stage. They are all frauds, not one except maybe DeSantis thinking they could win. All just hanging around hoping Trump drops dead and someone else has to take his place. Awful people.
However on the Mille threat. You know what doesnt get covered enough? How many people on the Right do what they do out of actual fear of violence against them. Mitt Romney mentions it in his memoir or whatever pile of revisionist shit he's pushing. It's mentioned in terms of lawmakers not voting against Trump after 1/6. However it really doesnt get the full attention it deserves. From US Senators all the way down to local school board folks and public librarians, election workers, et al...people are flat out scared that violence and even death may be visited upon them if they cross the Maga agenda. And that 100% applies to these fake tough people on stage last night. Sure they see the polls and know they cant really win, but I'll bet you a few of them wouldnt dare say what they know to be true out of pure FEAR. The senate and democratic house members need to step in and make the right wing congress irrelevant. However this might look like.
